I'm gearing up for ME3 by completing what I consider my definitive playtrhough of the first two games. I have long since unlocked all achievements for ME2, and want to wrap up the rest for ME1. Thing is, I never finished my Hardcore playthough. So when I started my new playthrough, I started on hardcore with the class etc. that I wanted.

I've loaded profiles before, and I noticed that the game automatically takes off when you do. I want to get insanity and level 60 achievements in one go, so once I finish this playthrough, I 'm going to load it again for a second playtrhough on insanity and beat it before I load it into ME2. So my question is, will this work? When you load a profile, ME skips the character creation and gameplay settings screen and goes straight to the Udina-Anderson intro. Will I be able to switch to insanity and qualify for the achievement? If so, how early must this be done?

As long as you switch it before the end of Eden Prime mission, you'll be fine. Guaranteed.

Thank you sir, this little potential speedbump had me lamenting over the possibility that I'd be SOL when it game to my ME2 load.
