I know there is already a thread for MotA however it doesnt seem like Bioware has been responding to it lately. That is why I decided to put this where they can't miss it.

I was wondering if there has been a patch to fix the game corruptions from MotA?

It would be nice if a Bioware employee would just acknowldege that they are still working on the problem since its been three months.

I just had this happen to me. I finished my second DA II run and I tried to come back to re load the post game save and got a message saying "Unable to load" or something like that. I checked the saves for all my other characters and got the same thing happen! All my character files have been corrupted. Is there any way to restore them? I saw a similar problem and solution for ME2 but I've yet to try it for DAII.

And yes, I had Mark of the Assassin and Legacy DLC and previously had no problems. This is quite a bummer. Will starting a new play through risk corrupting that save as well? Any info is appreciated, thanks.

I doubt this new thread will do anything. If Bioware isn't posting in their official thread I don't think they will address the issue in this one.

Best advice I guess is just not to play or purchase the DLC. :/

Then what's the best advice when one has already purchased and/or played the DLC?

I asked a similar question the other day. Apparently they are working on a patch for DA2, but it is not known what it will be fixing.

Million dollar answer isn't helping much.

Time to roll with a new Hawke, I suppose.

I'm cross-posting this from the MotA bug thread, since it may be relevant, I discovered this earlier today:

I had a backup of my save prior to the corruption, after some experimenting with my quest order and everything to see if I could find a trigger... I realized I had too much in Hawke's stash. As soon as I sold the vast majority of my extra gear, the vast majority being DLC stuff, the corruption did not occur for me from that point and I was able to finish Act 2. The only thing I did besides wrapping up Act 2 on my other corrupted files was storing a lot of gear. Once I reached that same point and sold everything I did not need, the corruption did not occur. Could there be a connection?

I have played the entire story plus DLC for the 3 different character types for Hawke...everything is done 100%. After completing the Mark of the Assassin DLC with my third character I went on and copied the data and saved it to my external HD and deleted the autosave file for that specific game leaving the other in place. I come back about a month later to just see something in the game and it says my data is not there or corrupted...it was like that for ALL THREE.

I hope they fix it soon!

corrupted saves can't be restored, so If your save is corrupted, cry/whine/complain, then start a fresh new save after deleteing the corupted save/s.
