Im wondering is bioware actually gonna do one. There was little to no consequences for your choices in me1 to me2. Only difference was you would ether kill everyone as rengade and no one would be alive in your game or you would get some note. So how can we know me3 wont be same.

Lol, 'cheating'.

From what I've read, if you swap LIs, then you pretty much just get some catty dialogue from the rejected one, maybe a 'choose one of us' scene. Nothing overly melodramatic.

Thought so bioware fails to actually make any real choices matter.

Meh. Just different "Hurt/angry dialogue. Faithful players do get rewarded though.

Instant sexual gratification from their partners of course.

Exactly as it should be.

Good thing I stayed faithful to Miranda, not that I'd cheat anyway.

It's kinda funny. You die, are resurected after a couple years. People have moved on, you find someone new. It is considered "cheating". My relationship with a girl I knew in jr. high ended over a decade ago. I've had many relationships since then. By having those relationships have I been cheating on her? Starting a new relationship is only cheating if your still with someone else.

I have a save in which sheperd is 'doing' both Liara and Thane. In lotsb you can re-affirm your relationship with Liara but not breakup with your ME2 LI.

In one save the LI is Liara, mainly because she worked hard to recover Shepherd from the collectors, she basically saved her life and as thanks I have Shepherd cheat on her? No, that's too mean. Second save went for Tali and with the fact that she risked her life to show affection, I just can't bring myself to brake it off. Ever since KOTOR, I haven't been able to play an immoral character without feeling bad (poor begger lady), Bioware is just so good at making their characters seem human...or sapient...

I don't like that reason people think Liara shows her feelings. She saves shepard even if they are just friends, it just shows what a good friend she is. Of course if she loved Shep then there is that reason to drive her to succeed, but she does it either way.

Liara loves Shepard. Even if he/she doesn't return the same feelings. And that's why most people call her a freak who creeps.

Why can't you people accept the love? No need to be nasty tbh.

Think everyone knows that feeling: being in love with someone one can't reach hurts more than anything else. Liara hurts herself by allowing feelings if not returned.
Guess that gives some creepy feelings here ... you can't fight forever for a lost love. It kinda gets even worse when Liara rescues Shepard's body and hand it over to Cerberus for their Lazarus project.

However, since it's part of the story, it's better to accept it B)

Isn't Liara quite hurt & considers it as cheating if you get another LI while she's still yours?

If you did Lair of the Shadow Broker, Liara seems like she pretty much gets over it if you do cheat on her with someone. She makes one comment and lets it go. She's also very happy to talk with you aboard the Normandy. From what I've read in the leaks, Ashley is much worse than her.

Pretty sure I read somewhere in the spoilers a major confrontation whose resolution is dependant upon in/fidelity.

Consequence is that you won't be able to re-start a romance if you change your mind, and there might be some additional trust issues that come about as a result of that. If you picked another LI in ME2 you will only be able to get to friendship status with the ME1 LI. They won't take you back.

Well what did you expect if you cheated on them? Have a giant arguement like in real life?   These are professional soldiers on a mission.  Im sure they will exchange some words but their focus is saving the Galaxy.  Not having a lovers tiff.

Keep in mind Ashley shows has a tendency to show her emotions to those she trusts most, while Liara still keeps a part of her emotions back. Means: she wants Shepard to be happy and is more willing to keep her own strong feelings for herself without bothering Shepard.

That comes from an Ashley-fandude - but I think Liara is far more hurt in case Shepard cheats on her than Ashley. Ashley is just a lot louder when speaking her mind. She's hurt too, no question.
