 Every time i press "esc" game crashes, cannot level up or save game besides quick save

Is it  my computer or faulty download, need to change settings?

I reinstalled the game twice and verified the local game cache multiple times. Any help appreciated

Upon research i found that EA doesn't support intel graphics, if so anyway around that without having to buy a new graphics card?

No, and the chances are you will need more than just the barest, cheapest desktop video card, such as an upgraded power supply.

Minimum System Requirements (VGAs corrected for Obsidian stupidity):

* Windows XP/Vista/Win7
* 1GB System RAM (XP)/ 2GB System RAM (Vista)
* 2.0 Ghz Dual Core processor
* Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 256MB RAM
(NVIDIA 6800 "GS" or better/ ATI X1300XT or better)
{Added my note here, the X1600 Pro & up really, and
avoid both the Geforce 6800 SE, and the 6800 XT}
* 10 GBs of free hard drive space

If you look around the forum, you will see several threads on getting the Intel so-called cards to work. By doing so you may shorten the life greatly, or it may work fine.....crapshoot that may cost you a computer or upgrade.

I will question that direction in the last question.  To start with, Intel has never supported gaming.  That's a fact.  The poor video quality is a KNOWN situation, so buying games in spite of owning a bad PC is very poor shopping strategy, indeed.

Bioware and EA have no real choice in declining to try to provide technical support for such inadequate hardware.  Intel only attempted to sell a real CARD a single time, about 13-14 years ago or so.  It was junk.  There is no such thing as an Intel "card" now.  A real card is on its own circuit board that plugs into an add-on video slot in the main system board.

There also is no such thing as a laptop that can have a graphics upgrade.  Not any more.

Work-arounds are counterproductive.  As above, they may even be DESTRUCTIVE.

I just wanted to post here so that people know I found the solution to the problem.
If your PC is running a Intel HD 3000 graphics driver, when you try to open the menu it will result in a crash and will bring you back to windows. there is however a solution that dose not require you to go out and by a new PC the solution is to use the older .2361 drivers.
you can download this from
http://www.wikidrive...MA_15.22.1.2361
once you install that the game will function beautifully. you can hit escape all day long and you won't crash to desktop
Thanks again everyone. See you around.
by the way you people look familiar what do you get commission for referring people to go out and by a new expensive graphics card.

"Beautifully" is an exaggeration, and the reason the game doesn't try to operate with any other Intel video drivers is that the strain of attempting to handle chores so far above the designed capacity are quite likely to damage the system itself as a result.

The fact that some people are too badly brain-washed by the Intel Corporation to be able to shop intelligently for a better system that costs less and meets the minimum requirements is because the Federal Government didn't apply a large enough fine on Intel for its illegal behaviors, not because the minimum requirements are incorrect.
