ME2 is one of those games I bought on Steam a bazillion years ago, and am just geting around to playing. It's a lot of fun, but I have a question:
I brought up the galaxy map, and as it was loading, there was an "X-Y-A-B" diamond at the bottom of the screen. Does that mean native (i.e., non-'XPAdder') controller support is hidden somewhere in the PC version? Or did I just see some relic-of-porting-type thingy?
I understand a third-party program can probably do it. That's not my question. It almost seems like native support was gonna be in the PC version at some point.
Yes, I know this issue has been addressed here before. I've read those posts.

In all my time playing I have never seen the XYAB diamond for controllers....it was said that the games were not so much ported but developed together internally inside Bioware. Don't know if that is BS or not, but to everyone's best information, No the support isn't hidden, but only a Bioware dev could tell you for certain, 100%.

ME2 was a potr of the Xbox version, and some files and configraution references werent fully stripped out, which is why you get that ABXY image.
ME3 is allegedly being coded seperately from Xbox this time.
