Just the other day I played this amazing game that I had been putting off playing for months due to backlog. It was an indie game, while respectable I don't usually get into these sorts of things... Well lo and behold I installed the the game and what came next over the entire day (I just couldn't put it down) was a feast for the eyes, a symphony for the sould, and some pretty satisfying gameplay as well!

The game also features this "procedral narrative" where the narrator describes your actions and results in the game as they happen. He has this deep, slightly western voice that just coaxes you along. It also features this unique asthetic where paths fall before you from the sky as you approach them.

And another kicker is that it even has a few choices in the game for you to make storywise, one of which was so emotionally charged despite the simple graphics that me and my friend were speachless while watching, and the other was a choice that made me pause and think for a good ten minutes before I chose, something I havn't really experienced since Mass Effect.

I fell in love with this game, and I fell in love with the music. In fact you can listen to the soundtrack free online, here is a link to my favorite song.

Official game description:

"Bastion is the first title from Supergiant
Games, an original action role-playing game set in a lush imaginative
world, in which players must create and fight for civilization’s last
refuge as a mysterious narrator marks their every move."

Has anyone else played this game?
