I use it because its a convenient way of keeping up with people when I can't see them in person. Distance is pretty common once you get out of High School..

Glad I'm not the only one, every time that I mention that this was the main reason I deleted my FB account, everyone looks at me like if I've just killed and eaten a baby.

10 000 kinda seems like alot..

and I too also hate facebook.. but I always get sucked into these like/share things... I want the video! But like most people have said already they'll release it anyway,
 
if they don't get 10 000 shares they'll post "Well we didn't quite reach our goal but since we love you sooooo much here's the video anyway!" and they'll make try to make us seem special.

I’m a very social person and I hate Facebook to my very core. If I want to speak with a friend, I call them, visit them or meet them for lunch/dinner. I have friends who are out of state and I email them, speak with them on MSN when I am online, or sit down and pen them a letter. (I adore hand-written letters)

A friend of mine has a FB which she is constantly on. She has well over two-hundred “friends” and probably never talks with any of them. They just post tidbits back and forth, not real conversation. It’s asinine.

As for Marketing--Just show us the damn commercial, video, screenshots, concept art, etc. If it’s a great product, I will “like” it by throwing $60 at it.

I dont have anything against facebook, its just when ppl go overboard with the info they put on it. And not just of themselves, I found myself getting prank calls from ppl I dont even know because my aunt decided it would be "easier" to communicate with everyone when displaying other ppls phone numbers on her friggen facebook page lol.

I remember when they did this sort of thing for DA2 they kept reseting the counter becaue people used some sort of bot to make the counter go up. they reset it something silly like 400K and it was to unlock items for the main game whihch all it did was an xp boost

Nah, we don't do it out of principle. Because we don't like it and don't want to support this sort of ad campaign. Simple as that.
