Nah, we don't do it out of principle. Because we don't like it and don't want to support this sort of ad campaign. Simple as that.

If you went up to your friend and said, "Dude, have you checked out those new Mass Effect 3 screen shots?" You'd be virtually doing the same exact thing: word of mouth. The only difference is that Bioware is using facebook to track it, and build anticipation.

And yes, the trailer is going to be the same subject material as the screenshot. However, I recall there being quite a bit of discussion that ME2 marketing had too much character/story focused material. While this round might be a bit sparse, if you didn't engage in any leaked material (which is not even a good resemblance of the game anyway) you should be happy to know that the game won't be spoiled for you when you play

Of course, as we enter one month to launch we (like all companies) will ramp up our efforts and you'll see lots of interesting and varied content.

Thanks for the video, Bioware. I think that this initiative was fine in concept but too ambitious.

However, I think that asking fans to advertise for you and then rewarding them with more advertising is a little shady.
