I think what I find most ludicrous about Ms. Scarberry's post is that she thinks no one should write a review of a product and rate it less than three stars.

Ms. Scarberry's brazen request for imported_beer to take down his/her review because it did not agree with her own comes in at a close second.

I always read the one-star reviews, I find that it's a useful counterpoint and that it sometimes provides certain key information other reviews have missed. I think I'm capable of deciding which reviews are valuable to me as a customer and which are not. Ms. Scarberry seems to believe that if you think something's bad for X reason, you should keep it to yourself. I respectfully disagree. So long as your intention is to inform potential customers while remaining courteous, I don't see a problem.

Anyway, I didn't mean to come here to wag my finger at people. >.< Just don't get too personal attacky or the mods might step in. :P

Oh dear. I didn't mean to suggest that is what you did.

It is more like...now I feel guilty about laughing because all said and done, she clearly cared for that fiction, and it required some commitment. She believed in it...and there are people who love it...so I feel like by being amused by it, I am being disrespectful. But then I imagine the Sten who I took with me everywhere in Thedas and I imagine him in...that specific scene, and I am equally traumatized and struck by hysterical laughter.

I wish I had your integrity...I do...but I am weak.

/Goes to find book to post scene. It is a LONG scene, will be posted in parts, with some censored content.

Khantara? I hardly knew 'er!

Explaining jokes always ruins them. Oh well, doesn't matter. x)

What I meant: was that the book titled "Khantara" should be called "Katara" as in Qunari for "Die!".... I just wanted to imply that the book should just go away and "die", which is why I thought Katara would suit the book better as a title as Khantara.

No no, I was simply adding to your joke. ;)

But Khantara was a man. :crying: That's were I got confused.

Oh! Oh, right! *flail* Sorry about that. UrbanDictionary to the rescue. [nsfw]

Oh! I never heard that before. Sorry, for the confusion. Oh, but otherwise, we do understand us well.

Yeah, and the funny thing is that it was Ms. Scarberry's post that sparked this whole controversy. If she had just kept her opinion of imported_beer's review to herself, this issue would not have received the attention its getting now.

Oh, Irony. You work your wonders yet again.

The sort of sad thing is that it doesn't really seem like they needed to plagiarise. I wouldn't say they write well but they also don't seem incapable of creativity

I think I left you where he was staring at her jewel with much insatiability, right?

Okay.

He blindly began to advance, and then stopped. "If you wish to do this, I warn you, [NOT KADAN]"
"I am warned," she told him decidedly. "Are you certain you want to do this?"
"I have wanted to enlighten you for sometime on many subjects," he said desperately. "This is one of them."

Edited out what NOTSTEN! did next.

Hello neighbour! It's 2.30 here, too. I need to stay awake the whole night and this thread, and of course, the story about Not-Sten helps a lot.
So keep it coming, please. :)

How can someone write something like this?

I know why I don't like written detailed sexual activities scenes. They are always kind of nasty... Especially the censored is a little disturbing. ;)

@Klidi: Why do you have to stay awake? Night job?

Lucky you. I won't even be able to look at Thane since in German they have the same voice actor... Guess I will just switch to English then...

No, but tomorrow I have to go to medical examination where I'm supposed to fall asleep. They ordered me to stay awake whole night. Which is much less fun when you can't go out to some party.

Er...please don't judge Sten.

Mary did an awesome awesome job with him and it is not fair to punish Sten for this. I mean...he is probably traumatized himself!!

EDIT: Edited out all salacious content.

Okay warning...do not read the next sections because he does some...things that would make most sane people squeamish.

How do you do the talking to an Amazon dev thing? I want to tell them that all her books are plagarism.

On Amazon's main page, go to "Help" (a tiny link at the upper right hand corner).
--> It will take you to a FAQ page.  Click the "Contact Us" button on the right side of the page.
--> Sign in (you need an Amazon account)
--> You will now see a contact form.  Question #3 "How would you like to contact us?" has 3 buttons--Email, Phone, or Live Chat.  I did the live chat and screenshotted my conversation with the service rep.

Well at least Thanes voice can be changed, from now on I wont be to look at (not)sten with thinking of arrow shaped tools and the arrival of "warm and inviting succulence"
