I know spoilers happen once in awhile but ppl should at least make the effort to throw up a simple spoiler warning. Its not that hard.  

It is your own fault for walking into a clear landmine topic about a DLC character.  Granted, between Hudsons miss-information scheme and the people to abuse the leaked script.  

Still, Snape kills Jack Harper.

A topic about a DLC character isnt exactly a "landmine" for spoilers. Before ME2 came out the name "Zaeed"  didnt say much. But a Prothean team mate, on the other hand, would require a bit more discretion. I understand that it could encourage ppl who already read the script to talk about it but just a little "spoiler alert" goes a long way  

I somehow doubt a guy from Harry Potter kills Jack Harper.

So it's their fault for wanting to socialize with fellow fans in a space that is not supposed to contain spoilers? 

 
lol that too, not everyone who wants to talk about ME3 is interested in spoilers. Particularly in an area thats not supposed to have any.  

To be fair though there should be a ME3 "Spoiler" forum area for those who want to discuss it freely.

I said I knew that it would encourage spoilers, but my point is it'd be easier for everyone else in the community for a spoiler *warning*.

Its not too late either, idk if the Prothean team mate thing is legit(and I dont want to know), the reason I'm mentioning the spoiler warning is in case some do find out even more about it and decide to talk about it, they could warn others.

Oh right, so that particular character wasn't very integral to the plot in the leaked script (pointless enough to be cut from the game and made into DLC)?

The GameFAQs board for the 360 version has some clues from the art book about what the last two squadmates might be.

I am aware of these, but I'm now wondering whether one of these two will be the DLC character or if it's an as of yet unknown character.

There seems to be barely any info on that character. The "enkindler" however has some very significant scenes, although they might be refering to another "enkindler" or a VI or something

Frak you Microsoft for leaking those files. Human error my hat. Bioware staged that leak or someone at Microsoft had a grudge. I was completely unspoiled for ME1. I went in not knowing what to expect and it was glroious. Ever since I joined the BSN to get all of the DLC and promotional items, I've been unable to go into a Bioware game unspoiled. And I'm careful when I'm on here too. It's just that you have to have a profile to get all of the DLC and promotions. And since I have a profile I have the irresistable compulsion to come here every day. So long story short, the necessity of being a part of the forum community has made it almost impossible to go into a game spoiler free. <rant over>

The silhouette seen in the unboxing video of Collectors Edition resembles a Krogan, IMO. A Prothean squadmate as DLC, considering how it would be the only one alive and would give an insane amount of insight about ME universe, just seems ludicrous. I'd be pissed if such a significant character is limited by a Zaeed/Kasumi-styled DLC.

Honestly it isn't much of a spoiler considering we've known since freaking JUNE that Prothy was DLC. And to everyone saying "lol too importnt two bee dlc lol" yeah no. Prothy plays no major role in the plot of ME3, he's just an amusing side character. An awesome side character, but ultimately an unimportant one.

You don't have to mock 

Even if he supposedly doesn't factor into the main story, the last living Prothean is kind of a big deal. Too big of a deal for a meager DLC. 

Even though there was a "leak" that the DLC is the Prothean, it's not concrete. They may have decided to not use it as DLC since, or it was a mistake from the beginning and it was never intended for DLC. It's anyone's guess.
