Bioware i dont think is heavily linked anyways. They provided the story and script at best.

They provided neither.

Well if thats true, i imagine Bioware is merely keeping tabs to make sure if fits the lore

Yeah, Bioware is merely an adviser on the movie.

I was wondering if they were going to do anything for the year of the Dragon....well I suppose the year isn't over yet, no seriously it would be interesting to learn more about Cassandra (as I'm guessing she will pop up in the games again) and the Seekers as well as actully seeing what Orlais looks like instead of just reading about it. Not sure about the graphics though, I just find the cel-shaded animation stuff a little too stiff for my liking in general.

EDIT -
Random thought: I take it they got back the same voice actresses that did Cassandra in DA2 for this film, it would be a little annoying if they didn't, and since its set in Orlais I suppose everyone will be speaking with French accents too then.

Seeing how terribly Mass Effect: Deception is turning out to be, I don't have high hopes for another project outsourced to different writers.

Well, the art styles already better then DA1 & 2, i would try to go abit less anime-ish (especialy with the plebians who dwell in this hovel) but it's definetly a right step art wise, try & find a happy middle ground with it & you'll have a much better DA3 look to apeal to a wider audiance and finaly cast the shackles of these...niche things you've been stuck with

"rogue Blood Mages", I didn't know there was sanctioned blood mages. That aside I like what I see.

It looks so bizarre ... stiff and old-fashioned. There is so much beautiful anime out these days; I'm really shocked that it looks so strange and unappealing.

I also don't care much about Cassandra. Nevertheless, I guess I'll watch it if I get a chance.

EDIT: "Impulsive beauty"? LOL Really?  Who wrote that??

I like the colour scheme they have going. It's all very dark and real :-)

I don't have the patience to watch talking head videos.

The plot description at the bottom seems new, or at least more detailed than what we've got earlier.

In the land of Orlais, a brash young Seeker — Cassandra — fights to stop a blood-soaked conspiracy. Hidden hands seek to tear apart the realm’s most powerful religious order, and as the sinister plot unfolds, Cassandra is accused of treason and murder. Hunted by friend and foe alike, the impulsive beauty must clear her name while clashing with corrupt Templars and rogue Blood Mages. Should she fail, the executioner’s blade awaits. Should she overcome her rage and expose the unseen forces threatening the rule of the Divine, Cassandra will take her place in legend.

Urgh, corrupt templars and blood mages again?

Bioware admit they went overboard representing the two sides in DA2 so they opt to shove more insanity down our throats?

If i understand it right, the plot was created by the makers of this anime, not BioWare.

It's about a seeker, so rogue blood mages and corrupt templars are to be expected.

And DA2 is about the mage/templar conflict (or was supposed to be), yet I expected to find two sides with both their good and their bad apples and of which I could empathise with both. Alas all I got was the urge to burn the entire city to the ground and I didn't give a crap about either side.

Which is relevant to this movie how?

It has blood mages and it follows then that they're going to be fools beyond redemption. I'm sick of stupid characters, I want intelligent, or at least semi-intelligent ones I can empathise with.

That doesn't follow at all. This is a different medium written and directed by different people.

My opinion on this film hasn't changed much after seeing today's developments. I need to see a little more before I'm sold on this. Laidlaw and Friends saying mostly fluff doesn't get thrills going up my leg.

Which I was hoping to see in post Blight Dragon Age.

Blood Mages have so much potential, especially if the whole "Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain" feature to them is dropped.

Hmmm...

Interesting video, I'll be waiting to hear more.

Was KIND of put off by Laidlaw ending it with say "I just hope our fans go... OMG THAT WUZ AWESOOOMMEEE!!!"

I mean, are the wounds the internet inflicted with the "press a button, something awesome happens" still not fresh enough to make the word "awesome" unusable by the Dragon Age staff in press releases?

I have the same feeling.  They should stop trolling with the 'awesome button'. :?
