Here's an odd thing, though, and it's probably off topic. Apologies in advance.

I'm definitely a Dragon Age fan. (Definitely.) But I resent being called a "fan."

I'm not entirely sure why. But with the whole "splitting the fanbase" "they don't like old fans" etc etc conversation after DA2, it's just not a word I like. It also seems to imply that the person should love everything DA. I loved DA2, but I was a bit lukewarm on MotA. I don't think there's a problem with that, but I wouldn't call myself a fan of some of its gameplay, for example.

I'd rather be referred to as a "player." Can you still call the audience of an anime "players" though, in a franchise that's going cross media? I don't know. ("Fan" just really grates on me now. It's probably silly.)

I may or may not watch it. I really detest the fake cel-shading CGI aesthetic. There's no sensible reason to try to emulate an art style that existed purely to make cheap 2d animation quickly. All that lovely rendering, lighting and texturing technology and you make this?

Holding out for reviews just in case it's alright, but I tend to stick to the stuff written by the actual DA writers.

here are some Japanese voice sample. Actually after hearing those voices, I can understand why they suddenly changed the art style for DA2.

Mhmm, only Aveline sounded a bit off for me. (well, the Arishok was kinda meh too) That was from viewing the clip on movies page though, the voice samples for some reason don't work when i click them.

(and you can hear Aristairu in it, too

I'm with mix feelings about this right now.

Was rewatching the other trailers and videos they released and i gotta say, some things are good.

The art and animations of the Pride Demons and the Dragons are well done, if Bioware manage make then look like this in game, it would be very cool. Specially the Pride Demon, he seems to be twice as big then the game version.

On the other hand, human faces and animations are average at most.

The Ogre looks worse then in game. And all the golens looks like Shale?

Still i think it will be worth to watch, and i look foward for the english trailer. Hope the english version of the movie is released on the same day as well.

I'm really not going to pretend i'm some sort of accent expert that would actually know what the combination of japanese and (subtle) french would --or wouldn't-- sound like.

I also doubt finding a person who was born french, speaks fluent japanese and sounds similar to Corinne Kempa... would be an easy task. So going to cut them some slack here. And for all i know, they might've gone with giving the character (and Orlesians in general) some sort of different, more local accent which i'm simply unable to tell from my impression of 'generic' japanese.
