I hope on English voice. Japan voice actors kills me.
Let me ask you this: How many subtitled cartoons have you seen aired on American basic cable TV?

I watch the first battle scene on X-Play, Cassandra is officially an epic dual longsword wielding beast. I desire Cassandra Pentaghast as my full-time warrior party member in DA3.
Cassandra for love interest.
Also, Cassandra needs her long hair back.
Hot, severe, dual wielding, dark haired, badass, religious fanatic chick?
Welp, I'm in love.

Xplay just did a 1 minute clip of a fight scene where Cassandra is cutting up some fools. Which you can find g4tv's website. http://www.g4tv.com/games/xplay/
Hmm, not too keen on that. It might be good if they didn't keep picking so many wierd tight camera angles (or whatever you call it in animation). And the floating blood bit looked very fake.

>Charging through blood
>Killing robed idiots just standing around
Yep, now more people will take Dragon Age seriously.

Aside from it not really being "anime," its just Cassandra cutting up some dudes with blood squirting everywhere. It wasnt even exciting or interesting. We already saw this **** in DA2 and made ourselves very clear that it was silly. This isnt what Dragon Age is all about.
And that line about shields and swords is officially the stupidest line I have ever heard. Be it a video game or anime series, nothing tops that. Its about as cheesy and "wannabe anime" as a line can get from the stereotypical "invisible voice that gives you courage."

All that line did was remind me of the Sphinx from Mystery Men.
Seems to be fairly typical over the top fighting. It doesn't bother me much, but I would have liked to see something without all the running around, duel-wielding longswords, cutting down random mooks like they're paper. It's not compelling. Where's the challenge and drama in Cassandra's redemptive mission if she can carve through enemies like this? It just seems like the only challenging fight she'll face will be the leader of these blood mages, perhaps a second in command. It takes all the tension out of the combat.
Why is frontal assault the only tactic ever employed?

That's funny. I totally agree. After all, this is Dragon Age not Dragon Ball Z.

Look at how they fight back by lazily flailing their arms at her. They don't even scream in pain when they die. Might as well stick pouches of cranberry juice on cardboard cutouts and get the same effect for $20.

This is the Dragon Age ANIME therefore of course its going to look like an anime. Not that I liked the latest trailer, I thought it was poorly done but thats not because its anime like.RacerTratz wrote...
