I don't like mysteriously vanishing corpses. I know that they disappear because the console harware is has a horribly limited amount of RAM, but us PC gamers don't have that problem. So it'd be really nice of you guys at Bioware to let us gamers have that option for the sake of immersion and also because our gaming rigs are not **** unlike the xbox. I don't think I'm asking a lot here, just one extra line in the gameplay menu with the option of disappearing bodies?: Yes/no.

Hey real question, I'm not being funny or a smart ass. Do you have ADD?

No, any other questions?

Even on the PC, there'd be a RAM issue. Sure, they could use your RAM to leave bodies on screen after you turn back around, or they can utilize that RAM for something far more important than leaving corpses littered on the screen.

Immersion is a waste of time in the face of practicality. I don't understand why people want it constantly.

And if he does, then what? Would you make a degrading remark about his post structure as it relates to the mental disability?

And the point behind stacking up bodies, is...what, exactly?

The horribly overrated "imershun" everyone keeps talking about as if it's the holy grail? Yeah, I can do just fine without that, thank you.

the xbox has around 512 RAM if I recall. My computer has 4000. Challenge accepted.

I didn't know that every computer had 4GB RAM as standard.

Look, pal. You're the minor audience. BioWare won't earn as much money if they up the specs so only people with custom built computers with the latest tech can run the game. They're not trying to be Crytek and promote Nvidia tech with overhyped and overrated games that just have a high graphical requirement and nothing else.

MINE HAS 64GB OF RAM! IT CAN SIMULATE WORLD WAR 2 IN UNDER 42 MINUTES!

I kinda do want that in.

Hell, there is ME2.

But it requires modding and often crashes game when activating.

Can we be a little nicer, guys?

Listen, I'm no PC user(I play on 360), but I know that the bodies would still be an issue for a lot of PC users, so I'm not sure a toggle would be necessary.

Yeah, I wish bodies didn't disappear, but they do. I'd just deal with it.

My computer has 10.  I plan to get more.

What's your point?  My 10 gigs of RAM is still better utilized on more important things like maintaining fidelity and framerate than on making sure those 50 people I just mowed over stay littered in a room if I just so happen to want to do a 1080 spin and see corpses around me, or backtrack to the beginning of a level for whatever reason.

edit: and if I did happen to do said 1080 spin and see corpses around, what are the chances of me maintaining a 60+ framerate while playing the game maxed out?

Is it possible?  Yes.  Would I rather them focus on making that possible instead of making sure everything else runs fine?  Hell no.

It would be fun to shoot dead enemies in the face until you ran out of ammo, but alas. A mod should do the trick anyway, like in ME2.

Btw, protip: If someone brags that they have more than 8gb of ram, you KNOW they are a moron.

Dude you need to chill out, the reason why I asked is because I feel the same way about enemies just fading out like that. It's something that really annoys me and it DISTRACTS me very often while playing the game.

Secondly I have ADD, so don't try being a keyboard warrior when you don't have any clue why I even asked, let alone understand what I go through because I have it.

As I stated I wasn't trying to make light or be a smart ass. So why the nonsense? Just go somewhere else.

I asked for a reason, because maybe I thought that was why it bothered him to that level. And he answered with no qualms (which to him I thank you)

So yeah, as you were and next time think before you decide you want to jump on folks.

Hey, the first Crysis was a good game with plenty of freedom and interesting gameplay.
But the second, yeah... It was a huge piece of overrated crap.

Also, the guy is asking for a toggle so it's not mandatory. If your Pc can't handle it, just turn off that option and problem solved. After all, that is one of the charms of Pc: You can play a game even with the ****tiest hardware by toggling off a few options. So in this way you won't be missing some of the newest games.

You poor thing, I hope that Bioware will give you the treatment you deserve. It would be such a shame if no games came out that truly tested your computer's mettle before Moore's Law kicks in and your investment is wasted.

Or they use Photoshop and Firefox a lot, both of which soak up RAM like crazy.  Firefox alone hit 1 gig of usage for me, which is abnormal as all get the hell out.

My computer is 5 years old. Even lap tops can have 6 gigabytes of RAM. I4gig is fairly common these days.

I think you're overestimating things a lot. they don't have to be like crytek to enable a toggle.

Consoles are ancient, pretending that they aren't 7 years behind the curve won't do no good.

Are you being thick headed on purpose?  Just trolling the guy?  He asked for a toggle  in the title, and for the option to  in his post.

... or can you not read?  in which case, I guess I've wasted my time.

What if they made sure every thing runs fine, then enabled it?  All they have to do is change corpse despawn time from 5 secs to 600.

I'm not "pretending" anything. I just have the know-how to make a point without unnecessarily criticizing something else I'm not fond of.

That's a lot of assumptions for such a short post. If criticism  and honesty bother you, I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place.

don't get mad. Xbox kids aren't used to having toggles and options, it's all preset graphics options and clumsy gamepads for them. (And I tried playing on Xbox live once, don't try and deny the "kids" label, it was a sea of ignorant 13 year olds who liked to talk tough and throw around racial slurs like they were giving out prizes for being the biggest racist, all in all it was a terrible experience)

Not that I'm anti-console, with all this crazy Origin, online based DRM crap where you can't really buy games on PC anymore, just lease them, well heck, I'd game exclusively on consoles now if only the damned things would let me play shooters with a keyboard and mouse. I absolutely DESPISE playing shooters with controllers. Consoles have USB ports, what's the reason for not supporting kb&m?

The game would have to be built from the ground up in the beginning for that to happen.  That, or start out as a PC game that was downgraded in the multiplat process to the 360/PS3 (downgrading is much easier than upscaling after all).

Otherwise, other issues might crop up.  If the entire game was built and optimized around having junk littered all over the place so I can return to an area three minutes later and still see dead people along with an option to disable lingering bodies or whatever, then I'd be all for it.  Randomly tossing something in like that could easily lead to issues.  You know, like players using Unity and then their party members not instantly getting up because spawn times get messed up or whatever.
