But what I do care about is how they might be region exclusive.
E.g - I ordered the Art Book from B&N - but because I'm in Australia - I might not get the DLC.
There needs to be a little bit more transparency about who gets it, and what it actually is.
Most of it will probably just be customisation options and nothing to major, but like epic community events, they need to be available for everyone - not a special few.

Generally speaking - I'm not too fussed about the excessive use of DLC if you purchase a bunch of bananas in a special store ( Incidentally - the amount of DLC has made BioWare / EA something of a joke on many websites at the moment).

the way i buy my dlc is i do my research on it because im not gona drop lets say 2 bucks for a weapon and use it once.
i really would like the devs to step away from the armor and weapon dlc and focus more on story dlc
heck wile we are at it regarding story dlc why not allow recrutment with it for the endgame?

Yeah - I try to research as much as possible - but at the moment - information is not forthcoming.
Agreed on the armour and weapon DLC too. Most of it is just tacky and seems like a waste for something which is so small and probably insignifigant in the game.
If they did go the all DLC is story based I think it would be great - but you would have to make sure its available to everyone. If the DLC for the figures for example had single player DLC contect instead of multiplayer bits and pieces, the uproar would be crazy big.

+1
There are way more important things than some stupid small-time dlc's.

^this is what we need to worry about^^ id really like to know how the dlc will be issued for both sp and mp because will they give both the same amount or will 1 particular playstyle be favored?
i know they said dlc for both but from a buisness standpoint i think itll be more mp dlc over sp and i dont mind that as long as i get my money worth out of it

As far as we know, it's probably just early access for that weapon, instead of waiting to earn it.
Call of Duty World At War did something like that.
You get to max level with all weapon, perks and attachments in MP if you pre-order from certain retailer.

Same - I would say it looks like they're investing a fair bit into adding as much extra content in the MP portion as posisble - they obviously really want to succeed in that area. Which is also fine by me - as long as player X doesn't get unfair advantage because his mummy and daddy bought him all the ME figures, I'll be fine.
My Ego can't take another "BOOM! HEADSHOT! HAHA! U SUCK NOOB!" from a 12 year old kid because he has better weapons I can't get access to.

You do realize that there is no PvP, right? You are gonna be killing bots. That's it.

Thats why I plan to only play with friends when it comes to mass effect multiplayer. I can't handle playing with squeakers, there language and atuitudes are just so unbearable.

Yeah, you got the M1A1 at the start instead of at @65.
I agree, it's probably nothing worth crying over.

But, back on track: I came from a time where games were complete.
I came from that time too, but I also know that the game industry has changed too. The game industry is more popular than it's ever been, there's more competition than before, more developers to compete with. Sega who I never thought who would had any problems nearly went bust. If Bioware needs to do this to keep their branding strong so they can keep making games, than so be it.

And if you can sleep problemfree if they don't sell you a full game for you hard-earned cash, well, that's kudos for you and anyoen else that feels the same.
I don't feel like I'm getting an incomplete game, promotional stuff are just bonuses from outside the game, created just to be used as promotion. They're not game breaking/ most powerful items/ important content. They'll be cool to have but they're not important.

I'm personally not gonna rant over a lost weapon, but one of the problems in ME2 was there weren't enough weapons. I hope they didn't remove items from ME3 just to get a promotional item.
I don't think a lack of core weapons is going to be a problem with Mass Effect 3. "SomeoneWithMass" put together a list from the script of weapons. I think Bioware pretty much covered the lack of weapons complaint.
Regarding bonus DLC, I can't get worked up about not having every piece of DLC. As I understand it, the collector assault rifle was underpowered anyway.

I meant in general when it comes to disparity between players. Just felt like a good example because most people who have played multiplayer have probably experienced something similar at some stage.

"Super Mega Ultimate Giga Drill Driver Edition"
(you need to scream that outloud) that you buy so you get the 5 different AR's that are meant to go with the different retailers. I mean cmon.. is it that hard to figure this out.

That's probably not all of them, though this includes (DLC) weapons.
I had to look up that DA 2 character. Was that guy worth it? I never even bothered.Gibb_Shepard wrote...
It's where this will eventually take us. Further down the line it's going to get worse, and we're going to have to pay for even more crucial content. Take DA2 for example, there was about 20 "promotional" items and a FULL FLEDGED companion that you had to PAY FOR on release! Spereate from the game! It's ridiculous, and if your attitude of "As long as i have the story, i'm happy!" prevails, we'll be soon charged 100$ for the complete game.
I think it depends on the content, though. If they dump essential DLC through all sorts of exclusive channels at the game's release I sure as hell won't bother with that game. If they release expansions on (aborted) story hooks in the game after release I might be willing to pay.
But if it ever comes to the former, I don't think it's because of those people that could withstand the marketing and didn't fall over themselves to collect every scrap of DLC.

Either the price of games are going to get jacked up next generation or there is going to be DLC everywhere.
Consoles might only be six times more powerful than current console hardware so costs could remain more or less stable for developers and consumers. Sony's not going to come out with another 'powerhouse' again relative to the other other companies because it was such a waste of money for them this gen for the amount of third parties who actually used it.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I do not think it applies to ME3's Co-Op MP. Which is good IMHO.
