That about sums it up for me, I've no issue with sex in the game, heck put more in, but EDI already has form, the normandy, she did not need to become a barbie doll, when listening to EDI I get the impression she would actually object to it.V-rex wrote...

I am against the whole EDI-body thing. It would have been really, really cool if they kept running with the sentient ship thing--THAT was sweet, and a nice parallel to the Reapers. It's slightly amusing that they gave her a little remote-control doll for her to harass Joker with, but still, this is something best left to the fanfics. The bad ones.
The design itself isn't that bad. In fact, I kind of like the Metropolis salute, and she's cute in her own little way. The hair is weird, but whatever. The problem I have here (along with Ash's makeover) is that the FIRST thing the devs thought about was sex appeal. Because they were female.
Look, being sexy is okay. In fact, it's great! But I can't help but lose a little respect for Bioware for putting ****** before character. For Kaidan and Garrus, their new concepts were meant to show how they evolved as characters. For Vega, his appearance was meant to say a little bit about who he was and where he came from while providing a contrast to his surprisingly friendly nature. But Ash and EDI? Nah, we'll skip the whole thing about having the package reflect its contents and just make some flashy science fiction Barbie dolls.
I'm almost certain that Ash and EDI's character development, story arcs, and power loadouts will more than make up for this (EDI seeing things from a human perspective could really add to the "AIs are people, too" debate, and Ash got armor!), but Bioware, I am disappoint.

Though I was expecting something more like Cortana, it could be worse.
I just don't like how you can tell its not flesh and bone.

I pretty much agree.
I just think if they decided to make her into a robot why not make her less 'female' but more 'EDI'. I do like the design though due to it's influences but it's just not very innovative.
Although when I first read the leaks I expected her to look 100% human so that's probably why I'm not so bothered.
But I will use her as a squaddie due to the fact I like EDI.

It is just the way they are going about it that is annoying me, the first thing that is said about her appearance is that she had to be 'sexy' I just don't get the need to sexualise these characters who before where popular because of their personality and because they weren't sexualised, such as Ashley.

I do, however, distinctly recall Seth Green, fretting over having a miss pairing as a romance interest.
(1:04-120)
At least HE's happy. Can't speak for the more vocal protesters, however.
People take these things way too seriously, IMO. This is a non-issue. Heck, maybe she an be a squad mate. That'd be cool.

My question to the art team: Aren't you guys jumping the gun here? Why does EDI need a physical body in the first place? What is the in-universe reason for this? Out-of-universe reasons need not apply.

Cerberus sent a sex-bot to kill Shepard. I am no joking!
EDI takes control for ****s and giggles or does when the Alliance tries to purge her

The TV show was the true sequel to T2. Also, Summer Glau & Lena Headey. That is all.
