What would have been cool?JeffZero wrote...
Some Jokerites have definitely gotten me thinking it would have been just as cool -- without treading on anyone's toes, too -- to have done things differently but still somewhat similarly.
But I love it as-is, mostly.

That's what I meant. For EDI to be like Kaidan, she'd have to have biotics as well as tech. At least, that's what I thought until Jeff explained it.Bekkael wrote...

Don't worry, it's not like anybody's forcing you to use her. She's even a class that's already represented on the squad, so she's kind of redundant anyway.Bekkael wrote...
The whole EDI thing is facepalm worthy, but since it's in the game..meh. Here's to hoping I won't spend all the time on the Normandy cringing.
A class Bekkael will no doubt have covered more often than not, too, if I know her half as well as I think I do.
Kaidan is a Sentinel, remember? He has tech and biotic. The perfect combo.
And it's less "perfect combo" than it is "not particularly good at any one thing".

Another negative thing about having a body like that: She'll instantly lose at strip poker.
Well, clothing could possibly be added prior, though I'm sure EDI will question the necessity for insulating and censoring layers over a shell that requires neither.

EDI had a body, the Normandy. I'm not a fan of this decision. I will still get the game, but my disappointment in it's direction is starting to mount.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

It's fine. Most do. Myself, I've never found any of my Shepards looking at Joker in such a way, and I thought the Joker/EDI chemistry by ME2's conclusion was a strong point of the series.
The Joker/EDI thing actually kind of creeped me out in ME2.
I won't have an issue with it in ME3 if the choice is still there to stop it. I hope it is.

So she's like a poor mans Legion?
If you consider a variation of the Sentinel's Tech Armor poorer than Legion's Geth Shield Boost, sure. I sure don't.
Considering I'm going to be a soldier most of the time, squad surviabiltiy is the least of my worries. She will never replace Tali/Garrus anyhow.

Well it not like I'm a bigot towards the thought of a holographic edi. But building a body is a lot of resources so it would seem cheaper just to have a holographic model.
Which kind of reminds me of this when I was a kid. Does anyone remember Toonami were that guy had a holographic avatar of the ship AI.
They don't build the body themselves, though - they find it on a mission.
And if you're talking about resources from the developers point of view - a holographic model requires just as much work as a physical model.
I guess Ill give up. I still don't understand where your getting the idea the hologram projectors require more resources than a robot body. And also by no means am I a expert.
I personally find a holographic body more "cleaner" I guess. And the fact we've always seen robots.

Stop trying to make me rage.Sentinel is my favorite class to play as, you know? With a good weapon in hand, my Sentinels are covered for any battle.

But...but...that means I have to go the character forum...

But over the course of the game you find the body and allow EDI to use it as an extension of herself - it's not like they custom-built it for her.

Unfortunately, as I believe that you cannot be a krogan Vanguard (which I wanted), I may not be. I think I may actually go with quarian engineer, as I have no engineer Shepards at all, so it would provide something different.Bekkael wrote...
