I also can't help but feel theres a bigger over arching main point to the fact they gave an AI a body. Could this be the beginning of the cycle that lead to the creation of the Reapers? Just thinking out loud really.

ty for those links i only have one question why does prothy have a collector head when it to shown as a husk and that statue as human head in me2 the photo kinda makes me wonder if the dlc will be changed due how they basically made prothy look like collector and as for edi i going to love seeing her in action!
im wondering if prothy is even the dlc charachter because hes pretty important story wise.
so that opens a ne wpossibility regarding the secret charachter dlc and stage

Last I heard, EDI's body was my ship. I loved that. Now it's just another basement dweller/prepubescent kid's wet dream. Sigh... Shame on you, BioWare, shame on you. I dislike the idea of EDI having a body from the get-go because to me, the SR-2 was EDI's body, but I'd be able to tolerate a LOT better if it wasn't so obviously gratuitous sexualization.
If you wanted to give us an AI in human-like proportions, give back Legion.
Sincerely, a disappointed fan.

It's really weird to see the slide from women wearing practical armor in Mass Effect to the fans literally having to beg Bioware to put Ashley in practical armor for Mass Effect 3.
Thats why I liked Ashley shes a down to earth girl, who I rather enjoyed as a character. To have her all dolled up like Miranda changed her character for me. I want her back in her white in pink armour ,quoting poems like in mass effect.
But eh thats may just be me.

Personally from the pictures I enjoy the concept of EDI in a Alliance uniform the best, at least then it seems plausible for the Alliance military to be none the wiser of her being an AI, that would also get rid of the complaints of hypersexualization.

thks for the info

Yes, because EDI's alternative body completely negates her character in all possible ways just because it happens to represent a female.
But it's still pretty bad.

Its more so the fact that since ME1 - BioWare has been incapable of having main female characters that aren't sexed up.
Its the fact its totally intended as evidenced by the first line for the characters in the art book reading something along the lines of "We needed to sex them up."
It doesn't matter the they went with a female body - it matters that they HAD to have it sexualised. They NEEDED to have it sexualised.

And as much as I hated Miranda and Samara's outfits they were also balanced out by characters like Thane and Jacob.
But in Mass Effect 3, we have Kaidan, who has heavy armor and looked ready for combat. And Ashley... wearing that stupid catsuit. It's just getting infuriating when you go back to Mass Effect and see Ashley and Liara wearing actual armor. EDI is just the icing on the cake.
Why the hell do we have to keep yelling at Bioware about this stuff? You'd think they would have learned after the DA2 breast thing, the Liara statue, complaints about the outfits in Mass Effect 2, and Ashley's armor in 3.

So? What's so wrong about that?
It's certainly better than those outfits Samara and Miranda had.
