 Hello There,

I have recently tried to reinstall mass effect on my pc, and when the
programme asked for a registration code, i couldn't find where it was
anymore. So i just randomly (foolishly) entered some random numbers
in the hope i could get past it... And when i finally found the code, which was
actually easy to find, it wouldnt allow me to enter anything. i only get the error
GL: 5538 Not Found..  I hope anyone can help me resolve it.


Additional information
The game is a digital download through Origin
The  game installed properly the last time i installed it.

See if you can uninstall it via the control panel. Then reinstall.
Failing that, you will have to manually search through your hard drive and registry, looking for any traces of mass effect, and delete them. Then try and reinstall.

I have just tried what you suggested, but i still get the same error.
Any other suggestions on what i can do ?

Im not familiar with Origin, so not sure how it works. Does it download the setup files, and then you run the installer, or does it download and install it at the same time?
The "not found" error could be referring to a file that it didnt successfully download, so might need to run the download again.

It downloads and installs it at the same time. I have had mutiple issues with Origin , always incomplete downloads it seems dont know another way to get the downloads..

Don't ask where, but there is an option in origin that saves the installer so you don't have to download it every time. Just look around the options page.

Ok, i downloaded it trough Origin again but this time i put my firewall off.
And suddenly it works. Thank you for the help
