I'm very new to modding, but I am considering becoming involved. The thing is that I have no interest in creating levels, battles, or other gameplay mods. My interest lies in cutscenes and cinematics.
So I had this idea to make the final battle cutscene more dramatic. Is it possible to open up the final cutscene complete with its timeline? Or does the toolset only support work from scratch. Thanks for any help.
Possible to open up existing cutscenes?

The game resources are not at this time included as far as I know thus at this very moment I don't think you can. I do think that the plan is to make them available at some point in time.
In the meantime you may want to experiment with the cutscene editor and start small to become familiar with it. If your interest is in cutscenes and cinematics I am betting you will like the cutscene creator tool a great deal.

I've found some resources that "weren't included" in some game files, and I was able to extract them. I haven't looked for cutscenes specifically, but they may be there somewhere. If you can find it, you could possibly open it in the toolset to make changes, then put the final file in the override folder.
