That is an enemy, the Phantom if I'm not mistaken. I don't think any class can use that weapon.

That was an enemy stabbing the player called a phantom lets just say she is as dangerous if not more than an atlas.

It is not a player. It is a Cerberus ninja (not the exact name... I can't remember the exact name).

Unless BioWare went really all out with the "you can pick up dropped enemy weapons" thing. Unlikely, but it would be awesome. Melee Infiltrator, done and done.

But, would it have killed them to show an Adept? We had TWO Vanguards. I get it. Vanguards are spiffy, sexy, and cool. But what does my favorite class get as their powers?

Casy's hinted at other races being available, either at launch we don't know about or DLC.

I'm assuming the Geth will be available, with maybe Batarians, Vorcha...

I didnt see one in the trailer but I'm sure they'll give you an option. 

It'd be like playing Human as only Male or only fermale, which would suck. xP
