I glance through the thread for a few pages, just to see what people would be saying. It's nice to see some positive things being said. I guess I was one of the few that didn't understand the outrage when they first announced MP.
Playing the first two games, I've always thought it would be cool if you could had been a different character because of some of the powers they get and so forth. I was very happy when they announced this and I just remember a **** storm of complaining.
I'm sure a lot of people are still not happy about it, but at least it appears people that weren't for it at first have changed their minds a bit.
To me it's basically a continuation of the complaining from hardcore fans of ME1 about ME2 about their precious rigid idea of what an RPG can or cannot be being challenged by adding in more action. I know I sound biased and I admit that I am, considering I believe the change was a big improvement.
As for the multiplayer itself, I'm glad they only did co-op. Being able to play with friends against the Reapers and Cerberus makes more sense to me with ME's whole theme of the galaxy's inhabitants having to unite against a common enemy.
