Carnage is the same shotgun skill from Mass Effect 1 and what Geth and Krogan do in ME2, and what they demonstrated that James Vega could do in the Kinect demo.Colintastic wrote...
The Krogan soldier didn't even have AR. Instead he had carnage. This just appears to be a stronger version of concussive shot, though we won't know until later. I'm hoping it has some additional viability.
Yeah, and how is the original different from concussive shot? Basically it turned your shotgun into a bazooka for one shot. Which is exactly what concussive shot does in ME2, but for every gun. Since both Carnage AND concussive shot are in ME3, I gotta wonder how different they really are.

I wonder what will happen to Soldier class in MP,since his most powerful ability can't be used there. Of course,I'm talking about AR.
AR was primarily a defensive skill, so it can be altered to work within real-time MP mechanics.
AR increased damage, but it also slowed down time. I can't remember the thread where this was discussed, but it basically boiled down to roughly the same amount of damage over the "real time." The real key was the time slowdown made it easier to aim, and AR also reduced damage taken. So, mostly a defensive skill.
I wouldn't be surprised if MP AR upped defense by a considerable margin, maybe upped damage a little since there's no slowdown to make it easier to aim. That'd probably still work.

Wait a sec. I'm used to playing infiltrator, which means sniper time slow down when I aim down the scope. I'm not sure I'll be able to handle sniping with full time game play; time can't slow down for just one person if there are four players. I hope they increase bullet magnification and/or auto-aim to make up for this.
It's really easy to snipe in ME2, you'll be alright doe

Just want to point out that this trailer shows the different races / classes and some of their best features, but it's certainly not an exhaustive look at the abilities for each class. So those of you who are saying "I'm sad that it looks like _________ has X but not Y," that is not necessarily the case!
For that level of detail, you'll have to try it out for yourself
Thank you so much!!! There are far too many unconfirmed rumors floating around as if they were facts; hearing no rebuttals became worrisome.
I do wonder if the genders will even out, it would be really nice.
For species/class specifics... I would suggest that all Species can become All classes but give special abilities to a select few combos
(I'd laugh at a Krogan Infiltrator...until it charged me while cloaked lol.)

Hmm, I didn't think of that... I'm no FPS God, so I might make a terrible Infiltrator lol... Maybe they will give us a defensive bonus while aiming. Ooohh or maybe some weakened auto-aiming, reminiscent of the Vanguard's Charge (as mentioned in the Vanugard MP blog).

I really like the "Planet of the Mechs" and "Husk Storm" (you get the prothean orb) missions because it allowed me to use my awesome abilities!!! I liked the combat, and this gives me a reliable way to continue it.
Thank you Bioware!

Time dialation... I always thought that they might slow down the game (Samurai Warrior style) but let the activating characters maintain a greater speed. A group of soldiers could use it to maintain normal speed and Decimate the field... I imagine that would be difficult, let alone Infiltrator sniping... Oh well. I look forward to seeing what happens : )

Mass Effect 3 Multiplay. What will you be? Will you play a human infiltrator? An asari adept? A drell vanguard? Are you going to play with 3 other friends, or will you try to go it solo?
The countdown to launch has begun and Mass Effect 3 is only 6 weeks away from launch and only just over 2 weeks away from the demo being released. Check out the new Mass Effect 3 Multiplay - Special Forces trailer and leave us your thoughts below.
Also take a look at the latest BioWare blog on the subject, "So Your Friend is a Vanguard" by Patrick Weekes!
OK OK. Si if we are Shepard, who has got his own team and a vessel, if there are Special Forces, that IMHO are all the players that play the Multiplayer mode, where is the regular army?? If there isn't any, what's the pupose for Special Forces. Special Forces, as the name indicates, are designed for Special Tasks. Bioware wants their game to be TOO SPECIAL.

I remember how BSN exploded with fury when multiplayer was confirmed for ME3. Yet now, as we've learned more and more details about it, suddenly it's much more accepted.
Ah, BSN, how spoiled rotten you are...
speaking as one of those people i admit i was wrong and no offence but you do realize that people do have concerns on such a thing right?
ive stated it before i rarely play any form of mp but after learning this wont be a call of duty team deathmatch type mode i was very relieved because thats what came to my mind as well as others so to come on here and say the bsn is acting spoiled i think you need to understand that people can change and not be insulted heck im looking forward to investing my life away on this mp.

I'd like to know this, as well.
I assumed at first that it was some kind of Canadian spelling. Because they love unnecessary vowels and... possibly transposed letters?

Sadly, I think the only races with selectable gender were humans and Quarians, but I could be wrong. This is what I seem to recall from the demo leak a while back.
