I know many of you will try to give an explanation, or reasons. But I don't want it. I just want a straight answer from either the devs or the mods. Will there be female turian/salarian/krogan/drell, and male quarian available for multiplayer? I know the video doesn't show any. Which doesn't mean they cant be in the final game.

I'm putting it in my Minds Eye. Think Halo: Reach! The "Armor" you "Buy" is "wearable" in the Campaign. So go ahead and play Special Forces a bit,WIN a few games, and Shepards coin-purse gets a little bigger! That's what my minds eye is showing me.
Whatever the case, I'm sure Bio will understand that I (an actual gamer) would like to flip-flop between Multiplayer and Single player. Lets do this!

We can unlock more races than what was shown. And no doubt there will be DLC. More than likely, a male Quarian is unlockable or will be sold later as DLC.DiegoProgMetal wrote...
I cant read the entire thread right now. Was there any update on the other races genders? I mean, in the video, we see only a female quarian, but the male quarian model is already done and in the game, so why leave it out of the mp. And I think the other races will also have their female counterparts in the sp. Which lead me to the same question again: why leave them out of mp?

i will be an engineer because i like controlling the battlefield. probably quarian because they are beautiful.
Yeah, technically the Adept is supposed to be able to do that to. But unfortunately, BioWare has decided that the Engineer should be a better controller.

In ME2 there are multiple ones I can think of off the top of my head. There's a guy in the back tent on Tuchanka and the guy outside that tent working on the vehicle right outside. Both apparently have some sort of engineering abilities.A Golden Dragon wrote...
When was the last time YOU saw a Krogan Engineer? (Note: Mechanics only deal with weaponry and vehicles)

I guess we don't all get what we want.
I see no reason why if we put a volus on w/e that guy on Samara's recruitment mission was on it shouldn't be a problem. :innocent:
Hey! We should ask Stanely Woo if he has tried MP and if he has been hiding all the Volus for himself.

But they are a minority. The majority of Krogans are Mercenaries, Soldiers, or the rarer case biotics. They are balancing MP by classes the races fit the most.

Thats not how balancing works. You don't just remove the problem when you balance something. You look at the problem and fix it.G3rman wrote...

Most shooter players don't care about frost spells, fire spells, and floaty spells; they want to blast things with guns. Already 65% of ME players use the soldier. Obviously, that's more than all the other classes combined.
I understand lots of talented people work on the other classes and would like to see players use them more. I also understand people who prefer the minority classes are loyal to them. I play four classes myself, including the soldier.
But again BioWare, you need to ensure you don't drive away shooter players--and core ME players as well--by overly decreasing the soldier's effectiveness in deference to the other classes. I guess I'll see for myself soon.

BioWare (Chris), you need to take care not to alienate the Modern Warfare, Battlefield, Killzone etc. players you're trying to attract by gimping the soldier and boosting/hyping the other classes.

Do you seriously believe BioWare isn't trying to attract shooter players through the gameplay changes they've made? Honestly?
I've been playing computer and video games since the early 1980s. I play games on the PC and all three consoles. I play games in many genres: RPG, action-adventure, shooter, survival horror, sports, party, simulation, etc.
The ME series is my all-time favorite: I've played ME 12 times and ME2 14; I played two ME2 chars from scratch to see how not importing an ME character would affect the story arc. I'm keenly aware of the gameplay changes over time.
So after you take a deep breath and dry your eyes, take a look at Halo, MW, and Battlefield sales figures compared to the ME series. Take a look at how many quality studios have shut down over the last couple of years. Remember that studios need to keep the doors open and the lights on.
What I find most amusing is your naivete.
Good grief.
