If a Vanguard goes nuts and all hell breaks loose, brilliant. Give me a big gun and I'll keep firing, no matter what.

True, but adding the biotic effect is pretty neat if you ask me.SykoWolf wrote...
Maybe, but your forgetting that sprinting at the enemy with a shotgun in hand is soooo 1st century bcSgtPepper667 wrote...
I can tell you from experience, charging around and unloading a shotgun into an enemy is not as easy as you think. If you're not careful, you'll get obliterated.SykoWolf wrote...
I'm sorry vanguards but you are a blight upon the galaxy. Not as much skill is involved in sprinting at the enemy and unloading a shotgun in there face, as flanking the enemy as a soldier or picking them off at a distance as an infiltrator.

I can agree with that, so long as vanguards don't block my shot I'm fine with it ( I'm a soldier).SgtPepper667 wrote...

I'm a pretty nice Vanguard, so that's at least one you won't have to worry about, haha. I don't like to get in my team mates' way, I just like to ram the **** out of my opponent.SykoWolf wrote...

Wow, you changed my point of view on vanguards, I didn't think it could happen. Oh well atleast there are some considerate vanguards, and I suppose vanguards are usefull against small clusters of troops.viggorrah wrote...

Especially with Area Charge. It will knock multiple opponents over, and when they stand up, they'll most likely be firing on the Vanguard, giving the Soldier the opprotunity to recharge their shields, regain health, ect without worrying about enemy fire. As the article said, we're basically human combat drones, haha.SykoWolf wrote...

Well I mean, it's counterproductive to ****** off your teammates when you're all supposed to be working together. Vanguards can be extremely useful when utilized/played correctly.SykoWolf wrote...

True. My new ideal team would be soldier (used to kill off enemy troops), engineer( used to support team with drones and turrets),infiltrator (to pick off enemy stragglers and. Support soldier) and......vanguard!!! ( To cause chaos in enemy ranks).

Vanguards should be busting enemies doors down while the other classes spread out, get some room between them and the enemy, and kill the enemies focused on their Vanguard buddy.
Obviously Infiltrators stay back(unless they want to cloak and get in some CQC), Soldiers are free to move about pretty much anywhere, Sentinels should help tank, and Engineers/Adepts should try to stay safe and use some crowd control.
Team work for survival, folks.

Whooooosh
VROOOOOM
"CHAAAAARGE!"
"...charge the Atlas yet, we need to flank him."
"REZ,PLZ!"
"Need a REZ HERE!"
"ME THREE!"
All strategy out the window. Really looking forward to it now.

Weeeeellllll, the vanguard is better for clearing tight spaces, not open battlefields, which are a soldiers specialty.LPPrince wrote...

The Soldier has no specialty. The Soldier can do everything(as far as weapons and map control go). Not as specialized as the other classes, but has more freedom.

Vanguards are great compliments for Infiltrators if the two work together: a Vanguard can charge over to a guy and pop him outta cover so the Infiltrator can snipe him from across the map. The Vanguard just has to not steal all the kills from the Infiltrator.

Soldiers are the staple unit of mass effects galaxy, because there nost effective at taking down enemies. I agree vanguards are very usefull, but they should stick to helping the soldiers as soldiers dont HELP vanguards, vanguards HELP soldiers. And as I said I have no problem with other classes, my second playthrough will be a vanguard.
Soldiers always help the Vanguard. Vanguards are always first, they're the ones that get the support/help. I always pick a soldier to back me up in my playthroughs.
Vanguards can clear a room before their squad even gets there. They're the fastest killers and it requires the most moment-to-moment skill to effectively play as them.
They dominate anywhere... and everywhere... first.

It's not a stolen kill, guys, this is no CoD or BF. No one cares how many people you killed as long as they are dead. It's a shared kill. Infiltrators get the head and Vanguards mutilate everything else that crosses their wrong end of the shotgun (sometimes the head too).
Think of it as double-tapping.
I never meant it as a "stolen kill" in the CoD or BF sense of the phrase. It's more of a "Hey! That one was MINE!" pride-type thing. Lol.

If a Vanguard goes in to help pull someone out of cover for me, then takes the guy out themselves, then they're not fighting as a team enough. Hehe.

oooo touche' = )
But if he's getting shot at and near Rez time while you're lining up a masterpiece headshot, don't blame the Vanguard for getting impatient.
