Devs are going to play Mass Effect 3 multiplayer with us? just a thought.
I'm sure some of us will. If I have time, I'd love to play. I'll be firing up MP on the PC.
You all know what class.
I might be picking up the ME trilogy for my PC when it gets here. If so, I'll keep a lookout for you. Otherwise I'll stick to 360.

Yeah. I'll be a Vanguard.
I'm going to be standing on the other side of the map, Revenant in hand.

See, I only play Vanguard, ever. Tried playing a default Soldier Shepard and gave up after two hours. Why? I'll tell you why. Because of manliness. You can't be expected to hide behind cover with your squad mates when the enemy is standing there out of cover, mocking you, showing you just how much of a coward you are by hiding from them and trying to justify it by calling it "strategy". No, as Vanguards we do what is right, what is honorable. We meet the enemy face to face, and if it were possible, I'm sure my Vanguard brothers would agree that the use of bare hands would be readily exercised. So engineers, adepts, soldiers, sentinels, the other one; don't look at your Vanguard team mates as fools, rushing in where "strategists" fear to tread, join them. Join them in their campaign to bring a sense of rugged manliness to the battlefield.
You don't need to play Vanguard in ME2 to run around and blast people in the face with a shotgun all day long. I like to play all classes at the Vanguard

Remember the omni tool melee attacks. Also even playing as an Infiltrator I've done some stupid crazy stuff at short range and come out on top..

So the message was if a Vanguard screws up then you should just leave him to rot? Am I right?
Or find a suitable opening and get in there to rez dead Vanguards right in the middle of it all. Even beter if you're an Infiltrator because of the cloak.

Charge is really useful for this kind of playstyle, and loads of fun, but not necessary.

That is if you even die. If you don't I'd probably do it anyway so the enemy gets flanked by us and obliteratwd. They'd never see me coming.

For the start of the match and the warm up:
For the real, crunching battles with my Vanguard:
And for the left-over wipe-out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBW7fb8R9a0&feature=related
And I'll be cranking up the volume so that I can nothing else than this! Even the screams of terror from the enemies I slaughter will drown out by the bone-crunching, headbanging sound that will shatter into my ears!
Silly teammates, I have no time for your voice coordinations ... CHAARRGE:

Two words. Fallout. Equestria. An excellent read if uber long and by long I mean LONG. It's really engrossing though so it doesn't drag. Great well written story and characters too.
Woops. Went off on a tangent there.

When the Vanguard was born, they knew it would be awesome. It's like that bastard child adrenaline junkie ready to kick ass. Nothing beats that feeling of charging, shotgun and melee on insanity while your shields are taken down so fast, Shepard bleeds everywhere, yet you took down 3 enemies in less than 5 seconds. After it a brief pause to recharge health, shields and you're ready for another round. And when you die, you get frustrated but you keep coming back because you can do those magical things you don't get on any other fps/tps.LPPrince wrote...
And Vanguards are STILL Bioware's favorite class.
Yay!
It's brilliant.
Hell yeah. Playing a successful Vanguard is like being total badass, unstoppable, a master of the battlefield. And when I say that, it involves taking risks. It feels good to show up in the face of an enemy and don't give them a chance to react. But there's that risk, but also involves being tactical, making the correct use of squadmates powers and heavy weapons, because I'll tell you, it's not easy to be a Vanguard on Insanity, specially on some specific levels. Although I love the difficulty, makes it even more exciting.Ghost Lightning wrote...

Not if the Vanguard's me my friend. A true Vanguard knows their deal and when the time's right to charge. You can use charge and a shotgun on shielded and/or heavy enemies, its only a matter of cover and knowing when to avoid confrontation, we don't have to take down enemies in one charge.DiegoProgMetal wrote...
So, it looks like it will be up to my engineer to save the vanguard's a**es when they get pinned down by an Atlas.
Yesterday I tried charging the Shadow Broker and I took it down much faster than avoiding him and taking down its shields and armor from a distance.

If they die, they will stay dead for the remainder of the wave and you'll keep fighting. The only time you'll get game over is if you fail an objective (possibly idk) or if everyone dies.Ecto-Plasmic Effect wrote...
