Torn between Infiltrator or Vanguard....... do I want to scope and drop? OR chaaaaaaaaarge?
God... decisons.....
Scope dork and charging nut. I am both. ;D
Honestly, Vanguard is the only biotic class I like.
@jreezy - What is this "biotic strafe" you speak of? I wanna know more...

Don't like the adept or sentinel? Adepts are great CCers and Sentinels can blow things up with tech/biotics combined.....
ooo.... I should replay ME1 now.....yessssssssss. 6 Vanguard runs and 0 sentinel... hmmm

Though, I will probably start out with my "comfortable class," Infiltrator, so I can get used to this multiplayer thing. I know for sure I'm going to be playing with at least one friend who is a Vanguard, so I think I'm going to go, "Hey, hey Peps! Go charge that annoying n00b out of cover so I can git 'im!" *Lines up a headshot, but Vanguard takes him out with biotic PAWNCH* "Dangit..."
I loved this article. Being a Vanguard player myself, it was hilarious to read some of the examples thinking, "Yeah...definitely guilty of that." XD I can't wait to wreck shop in MP!

I'm just not a fan of using biotics in general. The only times I take biotic squaddies with me are when I'm going to be dealing with Collectors. At least in ME2. Biotic squaddies are basically useless against the three major merc groups (With the exception of Eclipse Vanguards, but they're not that tough to take down) and mechs, which are prominent in the vast majority of the game. In ME1 they were more useful, but I still prefered combat and tech powers over biotics.
I have a Sentinel, but I'm getting really tired of her only being able to use a heavy pistol and SMG. At least the powers I had in ME1 made up for the fact I could only use the dang pistol. Adepts and Sentinels are very power-focused, and I don't like that (and Engineers, too, but I like their powers better so I like playing them more than Adept/Sentinel). With my AR-capable Infiltrator, I regularly switch between guns, and not having that flexibility drives me crazy. I guess I just need my guns. Lol.
@ jreezy - OH, okay. I'm a pilot, so when I see the word "strafe," I automatically think bullets. XD But yeah, that is super cool.

A pilot? Nice, just like Joker. Make sure your aircraft is equipped with its own A.I. It could come in handyCDRSkyShepard wrote...

This was a thread that was done 9 days ago. These were suggestions for ideal multiplayer teams.
http://social.biowar...3/index/9013073
Some of the proposed teams.
Team 1
Sentinel x2 (Can strip away enemy defenses with base powers and they have Tech Armor to assist in completing objectives)
Vanguard (Charge and Shotguns, good for elimination)
Engineer/Adept, depending on enemy faction (Adept mainly for elimination and CC, Engineer can strip shields and plant turrets)
Team 2
Sentinel - tank/utility
Adept - biotic combos
Engineer - cc/defense stripping
Vanguard - dps/utility
Vanguard could pull bot for the Sentinel between charges, so the Adept doesn't have to do it. You could just tell your Adept or Sentinel to deal with it and grab a Infiltrator/Soldier and bask in the glory of the Widow's dps.
Team 3
2 soldiers, a sentinel and an engineer.
Team 4
Krogan Vanguard
Krogan Vanguard
Krogan Vanguard
Krogan Va- CHARGE ALL THE REAPERS!
Team Shotgun:
Asari Vangard
Krogran Soldier
Human Soildier
Quarian Engineer
Full firepower with a subtle hint of biotics and tech.
Soldier
Vanguard
Engineer
Adept
Good balance/firepower and can handle any enemy as a team.
Sentinel
Infiltrator
Vanguard
Adept
Would work well as a more independent squad on larger maps where the team might get separated
This was also good.
RTFA
Ready - Krogan Sentinel
Team - Salarian Infiltrator
Fire - Asari Adept
Assist - Krogan Vanguard
Another great idea
As for races, ideally:
Infiltrator- Male Quarian
Sentinel- Male Drell
Adept- Female Asari
Engineer- Female Quarian
2nd choice:
All Human:
Male Infiltrator
Male Sentinel
Female Adept
Male Engineer
Pros-
-Two disablers + one crowd control means enemies are going to be kept very busy
-Three techs to go against geth/synthetic enemies
-Two biotics to go against those with biotic protection
Cons-
-No real frontline man/woman
-If enemies get too close the team can wind up screwed real easy
-Weak defense
Also quite a popular choice.
Soldier, Soldier, Soldier and umm lets see Soldier
The above ideas weren't my ideas. They were the ideas of the imaginative Bioware Social Network Community

That's why I like him so much.
@ Wynne - Sentinel on Insanity, eh? I guess that Tech Armor would come in handy, but your ability to deal damage sucks because you only have a pistol and SMG. Lol. I guess it's a double-edged sword. When my sister did her first ME2 playthrough, she was like, "What class should I play if I don't want to die all the time?" I told her Sentinel.

Sentinels will be able to wield Assault Rifles, or Sniper Rifles or Shotguns depending on their preference. But unlike Soldiers they won't be able to have all of them at once. The Sentinel must choose which Jessie to date and which Jessie's to dump. (Zaeed reference).

As an engineer, you’ll find it easy to think of your vanguard friend as a slightly less-controllable version of your combat drone, annoying your enemies and getting them to shoot at something that isn’t you.
I play Engie. Note to self - get a Vanguard pet.

For most of your first ME2 playthrough as a Sentinel, you only have two guns. It sucks. In ME1 it sucks even more because you're only trained on pistols...it sucks less because the powers are better.
I think in ME3 you're still only going to be able to choose 2 out of the 4 types of guns. Soldiers can wield all 4, Infiltrators can have 3, and I'm not sure about the others. I'd imagine it's exactly as it is in ME2...Sentinels, Adepts, and Engineers can only have 2 standard weapons, Vanguard and Infiltrator can have 3, and the Soldier can have them all.

Now, if the devs play with us ... and use the Engineer class ... and like they said a Vanguard is like being a second combat drone for the Engineer would someone else playing a Vangaurd in their team make him/her a ... Biodrone?

My words, if being a Biodrone means you are a raving shotgun maniac just waiting to waltz over some enemies, then I am proudly a Biodrone!
Where's ma next target *grrr*
