Alyx Vance was doing far better for me before all the awkward aren't-you-just-a-strapping-mute-killing-machine flirting with Gordon Freeman.

Still leagues ahead of the common trend, mind. It's probably best I don't think to hard about what Blizzard have done to their female characters. 'Atrocious screwing up' just about covers it, even it doesn't quite capture their immense failing in recent years to be anything remotelyflabghaIshouldshutupnow.

My initial reaction to the artwork for EDI? Not positive. I see the trend towards hypersexualizing females in ME continues.

I liked EDI as a character in ME2, she worked as an AI. I wouldn't have put her on my list as a squad mate however. Like others I'd have much preferred Legion full time. But eh, I don't design games, I just buy them.

The Joker thing I don't have a position on. /shrug Whatever floats his boat I suppose.

Wait, Legion is explicitly and canonically male? That's the only part of the complaints I don't get, trust me I understand the problems with EDI - don't get me wrong - but Legion seems pretty gender neutral to me. I mean, sure, we as a community use "he" when discussing Legion, but we do it pretty casually and without much thought the same way many people simply default to the masculine when say, writing college papers - which is another issue entirely that's offtopic for this forum.

But do the characters themselves refer to Legion ingame as him/he? I legitimately do not remember. If they do then I don't really have much of a point and you can go ahead and ignore me if you weren't already. If they don't, then direct comparisons seem less reasonable, given EDI is definitely explicitly feminine, her voice only retaining a minimal level of synthetic postprocessing of Tricia Helfer's.

Kasumi says they would make a good couple. Actually, out of all non-Shepard Normandy pairings, I support this one the most.

Other than that Vega calls him just Geth and It. And everyone else seems to call Legion by his name.

I can't kill Wrex or end ME2 without everybody alive and loyal. It just makes it seem like Shepard's a failure.

I only managed to do it by playing a paragade and letting Ashley kill him then leaving her on Virmire in heartbroken retaliation.

I think the development of EDI's character is progressing rather nicely despite of her body.

Hell, she even starts to simulate hate at one point.
