I still don't understand why they had to make EDI sexy, but like Cheez said "So long as the camera doesn't do the Miranda thing, I might actually be okay with her."

What makes you think they won't do this or are you just hoping because you're desperate?

What? He's hoping they DON'T do the Camera thing....

Also I doubt they will - its one thing to showcase a bio-engineered arse.

Its another to zoom in on old metal butt every few seconds.

Reading Comprehension.

Did you mean he's desperate they won't do the camera thing?

Their solutions may be childish and too much "press X to end world hunger," but the conflicts themselves are very mature and very relevant.

"Their solutions may be childish..."

"Their solutions may be childish..."

Yeah, pretty much that. Though the portrayal is frequently childish as well.

Mass Effect had/has a lot of potential but Bioware is unable/unwilling to do anything interesting or intelligent with it.

It's tragic.

Well, from what I understand, provided you have Tali and Legion alive and loyal (and I don't know why you wouldn't), and complete all sidequests, getting peace is fairly simple. I suppose if you try and fail, then having to wipe out one of the two groups is justified. But resigning yourself to it now seems a little premature.

To be frank I don't like the peace ending and my Shep does not have Tali's loyalty (he exposed the data). So yeah...

Read my edit. The only people who go with Shepard back to Earth were most likely EDI, Chakwas (if alive) and Joker. That's it. Everyone else went seperate ways.

That doesn't really conflict with my edit. I said they could have just left also. Since you said they actually do leave then why argue if you already know? Like I said I didn't really read a lot of the spoilers so I'm working on assumptions.

Wasn't your point about the alliance demanding they be handed over?

They kind of can't do anything (the alliance) if the Cerberus peeps are gone and Shep picks them up later once the Reaper invasion hits. That was my point.

Miranda and Jacob could work on the Normandy just fine. It's not like the Alliance is gonna try to do anything stupid once the Reapers start reaping. The "but the alliance-" train of thought has no merit. Otherwise EDI would also be at stake after she's revealed to be an AI.

I'm saying it would be an explanation for Miranda and Jacob to be working with the Alliance instead of Shepard at that point. Depending on what Miranda and Jacob are doing they could easily not be available to work for Shepard during the war unless they are simply sitting on their asses somewhere.

AI aren't necessarily 100% demonize by the Council especially not the Alliance military. The Council let corporations make AI and the Alliance have been attempting to experiment with AI for a while. Having a Cerberus AI basically given to them would likely make them very excited.

It's way worse than Samara and Miranda. It's a sex-bot for god's sake. It's like a bad internet joke.

Jesus all it has are boobs.  I don't see a **** on there.  If you want to screw a metallic toaster then that's on you.

The thing is, after the uproar about Miranda, Samara, and Jack's outfits you would think Bioware would, you know, get the message.

And maybe they  really don't care about the BSN manufactured outrage because we represent and small fraction of the actually fan base..

Yeah and I'm saying that's not likely. Jacob I can see working with the alliance but Miranda? Nope.

Uh...yes yes they are. The AIs the Alliance had were made in secret just because an AI is illegal and council space and if it was found out they made one they would face consequences. (thus why they asked Shepard to take it out and didn't tell him/her what it was). Having a Cerberus AI given to them would make them horrified. They already can't control their own AIs. The last thing they need is one built from Cerberus and potentially spying on them. Especially since it will not obey their commands.

I don't blame them if they didn't, because it seems like no matter what they do, there will always be people complaining.

Yeah, why strive for greatness? It's good enough, right?

If George Lucas weren't retiring I'd reccomend that you go and work for him.

Yeah but there is a difference between yelling about how BioWare is satan because DA2 wasn't about the Warden or sobbing because you couldn't make everyone wear Phoenix armor anymore and this, lol.

You exposed the data? Well, I don't know why you would do that, but that's a whole separate issue, one probably not worth getting into.

Actually, I should probably drop the whole geth/quarian thing for now anyway. It'll just go in circles, and isn't really on-topic anyway. Agree to disagree, I suppose.

For some reason EDI is still active and not completely destroyed by the Alliance. No AIs aren't completely demonize by the Alliance nor the Council. The reason Hackett gave Shepard to destroy the Alliance moon base because there was a rogue VI on training grounds that they actually wanted to use. Hackett never specified it was a AI at all only Miranda did and it was a bit vague. AI can be controlled the main reason why they usually go rogue is due to outside interference or no proper shackles on the AI.

The fact that EDI is still on the Normandy despite it being redesigned by the Alliance shows that they see her usefulness and likely done enough tests to figure that she wasn't a danger to them.

Personally, with everyone being such a Debbie Downer these days, I don't mind the optimistic worldview.  Cynicism is tiresome in large doses, even though I quite enjoyed 1984, Killer Angels, and All Quiet on the Western Front.

Personally, I hate how western society has deemed happiness as frivolous and cheap.  Working to solve problems and make the world a better place is indeed a worthy pursuit of both the heart and the intellect, in my opinion.  I honestly believe that you can be mindful and compassionate and still get ahead, and I plan to devote my life to proving it.

Ehhh, once I get out of college.

She pretended to be a VI and the Alliance engineers are too stupid to recognize an AI core when they see one.

It can't possibly be because they didn't realize she was an AI until SHep had the ship back under his control again right? naaah.

And yes AIs are demonized by the council. It's why the Quarians got treated like pariahs even before ME1 happens.

Unless the Alliance scientists and technicians are too stupid to figure out what a Blue box is then yeah they wouldn't realize it.
