They should; it would make the anti-s/s people lose their heads.

Anyway, I typically romance Tali or Garrus myself, so it looks like my Normandy isn't turning into a total Love Boat.

It would be glorious. XD

Nah it's just gonna be Garrus and Tali for me. Joker and EDI is not happening in my games. Plus Shep was creeped out by Tali's crush on him so her moving on to Garrus makes him relieved.

I'm not trying to re-open that debate, but if you're wiping out the quarians, won't Tali be dead?

If it makes Joker happy, then why not? As long as I am far away from when he snaps a particular piece of cartilage I am fine. But please, no Shepard and EDI romance.

I don't get it. Shepard and EDI romance would be optional. Why would that bother you? Is EDI too artifical for Shepard but good enough for Joker?

I am not sure, it just feels right for Joker and EDI. But for Shepard... I don't know why, but I just can't think of how a Shepard and EDI romance would work. Can you picture what the build-up scenes would be? Because I am having troubles with it, because it just ends up with Shepard wanting her as a sexual object for when he desires. However Joker is in a different position, he has a much better "relationship" with EDI, and I can sort of see that working out a lot better than a Shepard one.

Really because the bolded is EXACTLY how I see Joker and EDI.

Meanwhile I don't see a paragon Shepard treating EDI that way.

Shepard also has a wide variety of personalities some of which are very kind and nuturing. I do not see that Shepard turning EDI into a sex object.

Hmm, I suppose you a right about Joker. However, I still feel like there is a lot more of a relationship between Joker and EDI, so I think it would be Joker using here for sex; but in a sympathetic-ish kind of manor on EDI's behalf. I don't know why, but I just feel it fits for than Shep and EDI; but that may just be me being tired. Also, now that I think about it more; a renegade Shepard treating EDI like that would be quite interesting and would add a lot more to how much of a renegade people are willing to go. Will they be a bit of a bully, or a bully who is a nymphomaniac?

I'm not the type to go renegade in most things, but a choice like wouldn't be too bad.  Hell more choices is a good thing in mass effect.

What shocking is a PS 2 era  JRPG    by Atlus  Persona 3&4    did relationship better than the  all mighty Bioware the gods of Western RPGS... and I think JRPGS did things so sub par the mighty Westren  RPG.

And the had the Pinnocho Robot too.

I adore Aigis. And yes some of the male squad members say she's attractive.

But she's paired up with the MC and it's a lovely devlopment of how not only the MC but everyone in SEES helps her find her humanity (it does help that the humanoid body existed because if she wasn't humanoid she wouldn't be an effective weapon because she wouldn't be able to use a Persona). There are no silly yoga scenes, after the "wow she's cute." the male members of SEES don't ogle her [other than Junpei the resident perv being Junpei], she's not in a swimsuit outfit, she is visibly no human attributes (like the lack of ears and feet which make the moment you *do* see hands and feet more poignant because you know she's gained complete humanity in that moment). It's just...it's so much better than EDI.

But then again fanservice was across the board with both genders in that game. So yeah I tolerated it much better because it wasn't just restrained to the females and like 2 of the males.

It doesn't feel as shoehorned in and goddamn random like EDI does. EDI already said the Normandy was her body. WTF does she need a new one for?

Like how some people thought that Tali and Kal'Reegar were meant for each other for absolutely no reason?

Umm... absolutely no reason?

"Kal, it's Tali."

The armor upgrade sounds illegal seeing as Jacob got it by spying on the Alliance.

That's funny, since it's made by the asari.

Besides, the Alliance won't know about its origin in that case.

Oh yeah she will be won't she? Welp so much for that. I guess I'll only see it on my peace ending save.

I don't know about Tali's feelings, but Kal was totally sweet on her.

I also ship Kaidan with BroShep.

Come to think of it, yeah, we totally brought this on ourselves.

None of that is romantic dialogue at all.

Uh-oh.  Don't tell me we're about to bond over our mutual ships.

If you and I start getting along because of a ship, the universe would implode.

So what's the general consensus on this thread? Are people liking or disliking the idea?

I heard about this many months ago, thought it would be pretty controversial.

Interesting to read people's opinions on it :)

I'm not the one who wrote it and they don't need to know the origin. The point is, it is not an armor that is publicly available.

No, but I've heard things. Enough to know that I want it to stay far away from ME.

She's still got 'em.  The body is more of a remote-control toy for her so she can pester Shepard in-person when they can't fit the Normandy through the front door.

No it's not romantic, but clearly they care about each-other.

Tali/Kal relationship has a better base than Tali/Shepard or Tali/Garrus.

You'd think EDI/Joker wouldn't bother me so much considering I've already seen the Most Horrible Mass Effect fanfic in the world. But it just does.

Legion/EDI all day, everyday.

Out of idle curiosity, is there any Tali/Reegar dialogue in the script? I want to know that they don't hook up in my Garrus-romancing saves.

There's a lot of people, myself included, that think EDI was better off without a body, and we're disgusted by the blatant sexualization for the sake of pandering to the "target audience."

However, just as many think it's pretty cool.  I think Bioware did a pretty good job with her, but god damn, I can't get over the "we needed to make her sexy" thing.  That's just offensive to me as both a woman and a gamer.

Right, because Tali/Shepard had that whole... uh... umm... nothing.

She just suddenly is in love with Shepard in ME2. There was no build-up to it what-soever.

Granted your stance is pretty standard for a Talimancer.
