There's a lot of people, myself included, that think EDI was better off without a body, and we're disgusted by the blatant sexualization for the sake of pandering to the "target audience."

However, just as many think it's pretty cool.  I think Bioware did a pretty good job with her, but god damn, I can't get over the "we needed to make her sexy" thing.  That's just offensive to me as both a woman and a gamer.

 


Don't blame poor EDI for Bioware  stupid PR department... Like  really ... need to get people  that are tad more media savvy.. when it comes to how things come across.

I myself was pretty... skeptical... :L when I read about this.

I mean I really like EDI. But I don't think there's any point in giving her a body or making her a squaddie (check owt ma rhymin' ****ezz). I read some people were saying that she could be a way to explore the whole "what do you class as living avenue" But I think you could do that without her needing a sexed up body + you could easily use Legion (a far superior character I think)

I think they should have kept her as she was ultimately, the EDI/Joker romance could be interesting, but I don't think it will add anything :/ the squad spot could have gone to some one better

 


Well I one of the people that don't have an issue at all  with the body I think  it looks pretty damn cool. I knew that it most like going to happen.   My issues lies in how the Moron at Bioware was quoted... like really.     Honestly I have no issue with body... the Joker/EDI  romance...I just want to strangle someone...I would much prefered and EDi/ Legion romance with  Joker/EDI friendship.  
 

I personally thought  EDI was going to get a Syntheric   skin like body   personally.

Shepard can show concern that Tali isn't sleeping well on the Normandy, and in the conversation after also notices that she's feeling better on the quiet ship. Shepard constantly talks to her, about her people and also asks about her personal life and family. He may go out of his way to get data from the Geth to help her complete her pilgrimage, and he gives it to her, a non-Alliance personnel, even when it should be top-secret.

Not to mention the hug.

I mean, are you really making a case to me that the player has no opportunity to have their Shepard portray being interested in Tali before her romance initiation dialog? How ignorant are you? Do you even look at other choices on the dialog wheel other than Lower-Left Stupid?

You know, sexbot aside (which is GOD DAMN IT BIOWARE RUINED FOREVER PRE-ORDER CANCELLED), the writing for her is really well done.  Thoughtful, sweet, and funny as hell.

So long as the camera doesn't do the Miranda thing, I might actually be okay with her.

I love EDI. But the writing and dialogue might be lost by the design choices.

Its very difficult to be amused by witty quips when the speaker looks like an escourt who was asked to strip naked, put on pasties, and paint herself chrome.

Actually, I read some spoliery information that hinted otherwise.  Like I suspected, it was largely their government's fault.

But yeah, wanted a batarian squadmate, got a sexbot.  Santa was drunk when he read my Christmas list--that is the only explanation.
