There were way better choices than EDI.

Like a batarian.

I hate that Bioware is just refusing to flesh them out from terrorists and pirates.

Are Batarians even in MP fighting for the Galaxy?

Don't think the trailer showed any.

Damn the Batarians got a horrible hand. :?

Can you leave him with his? Not that I'll ever do it, just wondering.

You'll have to replay ME2 for that.

But yeah, wanted a batarian squadmate, got a sexbot.  Santa was drunk when he read my Christmas list--that is the only explanation.

Eh... I slip some stuff in the milk he drinks at my house. Maybe it was that.

Gee, I hadn't guessed. Thanks for the heads-up.

I don't know what I'd do without you.

You probably should. Especially with the whole Xen thing.

I don't know actually.

Anyone?

Just pointing out that it seems like a lot of effort to go to to prevent such a minor thing.

Wow. Like three sentences of dialogue with Tali appearing more disinterested than anything else.

The other **** never happened as it is cut content anyway.

Nor does any of it imply a strong friendship.

"Just like old times."

Wow.

What, after all they've been through together, you expect them to be just co-workers or something?

It's better than squadmates living in their own little universes until it was time for a canned loyalty conflict, at least.

I would have been happy with them being comrades who fought side-by-side in many battles. Kinda like Band of Brothers, except with aliens.

By the way, this is the first time I'm hearing of this Tali/Garrus business, so I should probably leave while I have the chance.

I'd already need to replay ME1 to kill off Ashley, so...

I'm fine with them being friends but a romance is vomit-worthy.

It's definitely not what I would have done, but if Tali was going to hook up with anyone on the squad, it'd be him.  He's the dashing hero type she goes for, plus they already have that mutual trust and friendship.  And Garrus obviously likes spunky women that wouldn't hesitate to kick his ass (and Tali has a shotgun).  Plus, they can make out without having to use an epi-pen!

Ugh, I cannot believe I am defending it.  I think my subconscious is dropping hints that somehow I wanted it to happen.  Pardon me while I go shrivel up in a mass of disgust and self-loathing.

If he has a save near the Suicide Mission it would take at least 30 minutes. Unless he wants to do everything.

Why, because of her new outfit?

Angry Talimancer is angry.  I hope you don't treat your real girlfriends like this.

Tali's clearly a xenophile and a ****. Thank god for that suit or she'd be a walking biohazard.

Yes. I'd rather she die a martyr on Virmire and spare her dignity.

And, let's face it. Its the perfect way for the devs to throw a royal mean joke and twist every INSANELY CRAZY Garrus and Tali fangirl/boy's panties in a twist. Shock value.

I like to think, at least.

I get the impression that you probably believe retcons probably don't exist at all, in any medium.

I know there are some.

I also know that it requires pre-established facts that are changed to be qualified as a retcon. Something like claiming that a glorified decoration statue on Ilos is a retcon of the Prothean facial appearance is just stupid, because it's like saying that a gargoyle statue is a good representative of the human appearance.

If Tali never talked about having any feelings for Shepard, then it's not a retcon, because there were no established facts on that subject that could be changed. In that case, it's more commonly known as development.

I really feel the same way about Jacob.

Mass Effect 3 just ruined him for me.

It's stupid is what it is and thus fits in perfectly with ME3's theme.

Stupidity all around.

Well the Tali/Shepard thing is one.

Go look up what the term means sometime.

No, SWM, that isn't all it is. It can also be the filling in of previously blank information to justify current events in the story.

Okay, you know what?  I just imagined every obsessive Talimancer's face when they see their waifu in the arms of their best bro Vakarian.

Worth it.

It's always good to see the bright side of things.
