Okay; because a bunch of the romance lines I've seen used gender-specific language, and I haven't seen any lines for starting up a romance like I have for VS/Liara.Ryzaki wrote...

That was my understanding of the leaked script. Have you found evidence to the contrary? If so, I'd be interested in seeing it.
It looks like she might be open for romance again in ME3. (and said romance was in really really early stages). Or they thought about it...wrote two throwaway lines then decided not too. Hard to tell.
Here
Highlight below obviously
-So if you're ever lonely... just let me know.
-Unless you'd rather be alone. We've got the war... several, in fact. And if you're not interested...
In a conversation about Shep's LIs.
She also has this odd statement:
Do you think Miranda hated me? Because you picked me instead of her? Do you think that's why she..
Very suggestive of a ME3 romance because dumping Miranda in ME2 doesn't lead to the romance flag being lifted and I'm not sure the devs would've included a line for what was essentially a glitch (romancing Miranda completely dumping her after the SM then running to Tali). Or if they did that why not include the other variations?

That has nothing do with body designed that just Bioware's crappy romance writting showing its ugly head again.. I think that issue and the design of the body itself are two different issues that are getting lumped together.
The body is integral to that dialogue. If she never received a body, or if that body was just a standard unattractive unit, or something other than predictable sexy sexy times lady bot with pasties on - it would be interesting.
Unfortunately, the writing /is/ to blame in this circumstance. Writing typically, if not always, comes before design. The writers often dictate what is to be designed, or help with the process. The writers wanted to focus on this romance, because heaven forbid a female character exist in Mass Effect without being some predictable romance object.
With the exception of Samara. Who ****ing rules in my book.

Another thing I want to know is, if her avatar was once had skin over it, was the hair metal too? How did that work?
According to the script, the hair can detach into individual strains rather than being one solid piece of metal. If it's fine enough and has the right color, I don't think many people would notice the difference, unless they walk up to her and feel it.

Spoilers. And stuff.
From the leaked script, it suggests her body did have skin and hair. Because
it was meant to infiltrate parties and such, undetected.
And then the devs were like 'LOL! We don't need that. WE need to make sure people are aware this is a sexbot!' and threw that out the window.

Mass Effect would be better with more Samara ...she is pure awesome. Her Loyality was great but I think alot of people missed the point because it was rather subtely about how it was handle.
I still think the relationship between hear and Joker with the body can interesting but you have just have to drop the romance part or you could play at it, hints maybe it never really happens for...X number of reasons .

Well, allow me to give you the step by step.
1) You acquire a sarcastic sense of humor. It helps if you watch some fantastic television programming like Parks and Recreation, The Office, you know.. shows where people can get hurt and there's no laugh track.
2) You work in the animation industry for a while.
3) And game design.
4) You fervantly study gaming trends. Especially conferences talking about diversity and other 'light' topics, and see most of the developers haven't changed a whole lot since 1990.
5) You proceed to be a smart ass and say ****e that shouldn't be taken seriously on gaming boards because you have two hours to kill before your boyfriend comes back and you can go to a club.
I hope that helps, young padawan.
