I'm just going with the current working definition of retcon, that's all. I personally don't make a big fuss out of it, but apparently it's in the dictionary and Wikipedia.

And to summarize my opinion on the whole thing for the final time:

PROS: EDI is awesome, I love the conversations with her and the look of her power loadout, and her body is kind of cute.

CONS: Giving EDI a body and making her a squadmate was kind of a dumb idea, actual sex between her and Joker is also dumb, and I absolutely despise that the first thing in the developers' minds upon designing her body was "lol sexxi."

I've looked at the concepts and I have to say that only one of them looked pretty decent (the one of the very top right corner), the other's are just sexbots, I would have preferd Legion but I'll hold my judgement till I play ME3

EDI getting a body creeps me out, but I can deal with it. The thing that gets me is the EDI/Joker romance. It genuinely disgusts me, and even moreso now that I've seen the pictures. *shudder* Not to mention, I'm a big fan of a Shepard/Joker romance option, so this just rains all over my little parade.

I can only hope the "body" is optional, and that I never have to see/hear/think about the relationship between it and Joker. Or better yet, make both of them LI's for Shepard, and go the Fenris/Isabella route and have them get together if Shepard isn't interested.

The design itself is nice, but it's the intentions behind the design that bother me.

Well, that and it's EDI.  That should not be EDI.
