I'd be more worried about something like the Reapers happening than an AI taking over a mech.

Dunno if I said this already, but I'd be okay with her being able to equip even small things like an ammo belt, combat vest, or shoulder guards. Even if she wasn't completely "covered", small items like that would go a long way towards de-sexualizing her.
Now that I've accepted that EDI will replace an ME2 squadmate I'm becoming more okay with it.
