I would like an AA pack or at least some community mod where I can put EDI's face and clothes back on... I'm actually not too thrilled at seeing just exposed steel for the whole game. She seems to spend most of the game basically naked... even though she's a machine I just think she as a character holds enough dignity to be clothed.

Saddly I cannot think of a single reason that that would lead to EDI getting a weaponized body so the in game reason better be damn good or Im just treating her body like a repair drone and leaving it on the ship the whole game.

She's an intelligent being and free to make her own choices. I will say this, she wanted to the body for a specific reason. Her feeling on the appearance is it's "adequate". The body is based on an actual person you meet in Mass Effect 3 so blame her genetics.

I'm not even sure they end up pursuing a real relationship. EDI and Joker obviously care for each other on a personal level.. But listening to their dialog I'm not sure if it goes any farther than that.

Personally, I'm glad that this makes people feel uncomfortable. It means Bioware is doing something right. People should examine what it means to be an intelligent life form and "conscious". If an A.I.becomes able to perceive and feel then I don't see how it makes them any lesser than us.

I'm really impressed with the dialog between EDI and Shepard. You can persuade her to become more "human" or make her stay what she is. It's got a very nice Mycroft/Manuel feel to it (Via The Moon is a Harsh Mistress).

I like the overall retro-futuristic look of her. But I understand a lot of people don't. I'm sure her alternative appearances will modify her in a different type of way.... Not just "look she's a different color!".

It might just be that angle. If not, we'll all probably get used to it eventually anyway.

Having seen it in motion, it looks much better than the slightly squished screenshot, there.

I enjoy EDI enough that having her as a field asset makes sense, to me. The means they achieve that is irrelevant to me, it just so happens that she took over an aesthetically pleasant form. And what about what EDI wants? If EDI can be cheeky and make jokes, show concern, and build camaraderie, what makes you think she wouldn't want to be pretty? She's not a damn VI. Get over yourselves, people.

I don't think it's terribly out of place. Even if she was put into a Geth frame, I think she'd be valuable enough that I'd want her along.

I agree completely. The impression I've gotten is that EDI wanted that body, she probably would have settled for any body but that was the one they dragged on to the Normandy. For the most part she has an important reason for wanting a body that has nothing to do with appearance. You can however persuade her that the body (and it's attractiveness) is a good thing, push her towards a Joker romance ect. But only if you choose to.

And that's actually encouraging, and sounds like a great opportunity for character growth for the both of them.
Although the romance bit seems a bit weird, to me. But, hey.

I guess I'm in the minority then. I feel from the interactions between Joker/EDI that the natural progression was for the flyboy to develop "feelings" for the ship. So, I for one, support Joker in his quest to be one with the ship. Just so long as he agrees to never drop me off in a Mako 10,000 miles from the mission objective ever again!

Does anyone have a screenshot of EDI from the character select screen? Without the goofy clothes. I can't seem to find one anywhere, but I love the pose and wanted to turn it into a wallpaper.

Take EDI with you to the Geth Dreadnought mission. Lots of additional dialog.

Also, damn she's at Purgatory a lot.
