EDI is an amazing character. And i'm not gonna lie i did want to see how it is to romance Joker, but i found it so cute when they both had a thing for each other. EDI is an important character in the Mass Effect game hands down, i find it sad she doesn't have a bigger fanbase. If not for her you would have gotten killed on omega 4 relay. EDI FTW.

For me the best EDI moments happen at the synthesis ending, which is fitting i guess. It completes her story arc in a beautiful way. From the rouge-VI on Luna who asks for your help in her dying moments, to the inquisitive child who has a thousand questions about everything but doesn't quite know whom to ask, to a full human being in every sense of the word.

This look on her face is priceless.

No, Legion's death was art.
That **** right there is forced emotion, which is grade school nonsense.

the synth ending mustve been so weird for her, to go from being a complete outsider to some one with the same feelings etc as everyone else

What I find alittle creepy in that ending is to seeing your LI hugging EDI while mourning shepard's death as if they read minds and ****.
I was like that sweet and WTF at the same time.

I love EDI, she's my third favorite character in the series (first being Morinth, second being Samara) and I think her robot body is awesome. And I think she's pretty funny... "I enjoy the sight of humans on their knees".

Allright EDI supporters, I made a couple of avatars while trying to create my own EDI support thread (I'm sorry, the forum search engine made me think there were no threads like this one), so I may as well share them with you.
Here, feel free to use them if you want to:

EDIT: I also got a couple of signatures as WIP in my Photoshop folder. I'll upload them here ASAP.

I like EDI as a character, however I prefer her ME2 development over ME3.
In ME2 she represented this distant, non-physical VI/AI and it was her power. That form avoided being stigmatized by stereotypical usage of AI in our culture. She had her line of thinking which she - by her partial "navigational" nature - tried to configure to human perception. Her absence of body was unique because she was alone in that (aside from the AI on Citadel). All other characters were physical.
In ME3, her character shifted from being a distinctive "I work like this and I'd like to know how do you process this kind of information" AI to a archetypical "I'm inferior to humans, I want to be more like you" AI. I didn't mind the change of characterization focus but I also didn't find it intriguing. I guess I'm sad a bit that creators laid foundations down for unusual synthetic character and didn't use them in the end. Nothing to cry over, though.
As for her body, I wasn't a fan of it. I've thought about it and I guess a part of my reason was that she was delivered in a combo of these new characters - extreme bodybuilder James/sexbot EDI/latex Allers/anime-like ninja Leng. If I compare a ratio with new ME2 characters (Tali, Samara, Jack, TIM, Grunt, Mordin, etc.) or ME1 characters (Liara, Ashley, Tali, Garrus, Saren, etc.), I can't help but feel that a higher emphasis is put on sexualization. It was always there but it was never overtly prominent.

No, I was just saying that we need Dinosaur DLC.
I would never come in a support thread only to start bashing the endings. I just want to support Dinosaur DLC.
Well said, Taboo.

I can't believe I never looked for this, but EDI was by far my favourite squadmate in ME3, and I took her to every mission I could. She and a slight soft spot for Legion, are the only reasons I chose synthesis over destroy.
I enjoyed her questioning morality, life, etc, especially her deadpan humour. The gradually becoming human is interesting, and one of the best character developments I've encountered, since I actually became attached to her. I think the point where she became one of my favourites (if not my favourite) was when I found out she defied Cereberus by sending them loads of porn to overload their systems.
In regards to her body, I don't think it's too much. It suits its purpose, it could have been gender neutral, but then EVA wouldn't have been a good infiltration unit unless she was infiltrating a Drag Queen Bar. In before 'you just like sex-bots'; I'm gay.

EDI is a powerful and smart squadmate. Without going into morality,
she would be very fitting other female partners for sheppard.

I like EDI. Sure, there's the cameltoe thing, but I really enjoy EDI as a squadmate and a character. I mean, I'm not the only one who cracks up at her jokes... right?
Anyway, I also like EDI's childlike curiosity. I think her thing with Joker is kinda cute too, although I know admitting this is basically like putting a big "THROW ROCKS AT ME" banner over my head.
And her skin. Shiny
