I keep hearing about this damn thing! I really don't want to spoil a lot but it's got me so damn curious. I'd like a little details on it but nothing major.

Friends with AI's I can understand.

I'm going to say something that may get me reprimanded but as it pertains to EDI and Joker forming a relationship, how is it different than a woman using a vibrator? Surely that isn't creepy and the only difference is that EDI is a sentient being.

What I'm asking is, if we accept the premise that A.I. are people and not just machines, why would a romance be off limits?

I like EDI. I don't mind her getting a robot body and I am sure story-wise it will be handled well. I'm actually pretty excited.

What I don't like is the final design. I liked the other designs on the page a lot more, where she still retained a female shape but also a more mechanical appearance. Like, even if they had gone with the design where her face isn't so clearly defined. The robot in Metropolis was still a female shaped robot, but there are elements that make her look robotic aside from shiny skin. EDI's final design looks more like a painted human lady with joint lines and a modified asari stripper outfit. Even a robot girl character like Aigis from Persona 3, who is clearly designed to be attractive, has a more robotic looking body (finger guns, the headpiece, her lack of feet, the metal parts on her leg and arm joints), and people still find her attractive. I just feel that the final choice for EDI is uninspired and gratuitous, you can have a sexy robot without her being COMPLETELY human looking.

Doesn't help that from what few tiny bits of the script I've seen there's mouthbreathing 'hu hu hu EDI is so hot hu hu'.

I am personally probably going to let them be together if they want to be. In Shepards situation i am not one to get between peoples feelings unless it endangers the mission.
