Will Mass Effect: 3 implement the use of EA Online Pass? I have two teenage boys, both fans of the Mass Effect series. However, due to fincial strains, our family imposed a tight budget on entertainment. But, we will be buying a single copy of Bioware's Mass Effect: 3. I would like to know if I'll be forced to pay an additional fee for the Xbox Live service (which were paying 20 dollars per month) so both my boys can play online? Plese note, that we are a family and copy right laws allow for family members to share licensed products (that includes video games) with each other. So why will I be forced to pay more (If EA Onile Pass is implemented) if copy right laws allow family members full access to licensed products?

Im sorry to inform you but yes, if it is anything like what was in Batttlefield 3 you will have to buy an online pass for one of your sons.

It'll come with an online pass, but the one pass should work for all accounts keyed to the 360 the online pass was registered on.
My sister can play Xbox Live just fine on games with online passes, and all online passes are registered under my Live account. Likewise, all DLC downloaded to the console can be used by all accounts on the console. Your sons will be fine.

Yes I am 99% sure it will require purchase of an online pass if buy a used copy and if buy new copy pass is included. I think Jesus is correct in his post above this too.

You can have the online pass and dlc on 2 different consoles. First you would need to recover the account on your other sons 360 as the content is profile and console locked.
Example-
Son 1) MrDeATh420 - uses 360 #1 <--------- Use this account for the DLC and Online Pass
Son 2) JuSThitTHAT - uses 360 #2
Now what you would want to do is recover Son #1's Gamertag MrDeATh420 onto the 2nd 360. Then add the DLC and Online Pass to that account that you just recovered. Now the 2nd 360 can use that DLC and Online Pass because it was console locked to that system. Now recover Son #1's Gamertag MrDeATh420 back onto his original 360 and redownload the content. The content will only work on his system aslong as his profile is signed in. Its not like that for the first system it was downloaded on because its console locked so any profile will work on that system.
This was a little hard to explain, but believe me its the only way to share content on the 360.
