So, I want to use her mod for the beautiful eye colours, but I don't want the skin involved because I always end up looking adopted (family skintones never match).

I believe if you delete both the folder and the lines from the chargen they won't appear at all. If you delete the file but leave the lines in the chargen then you'll get blank skintones.
FYI a lot of other mods use that set though.

As a person who HAS to edit the chargen manually, I'd just like to add a tip. Make a copy of your current .xml file and save it somewhere besides the override folder, then make your changes. That way is something goes wrong, you have a copy of the chargen that works! Good luck!
