That is one of my many problems with the Mako's driving mechanics.

I believe that if you had trouble with bumpmapping, you had already rode a hill too far high than you should. I don't actually see what was wrong about the physics themselves.Nashiktal wrote...
I disagree phaedon. There is always something to improve, and even then the mako only had trouble due to wonky physics and the random bumpmapping of ME1 worlds. That's valid. And you are referring to the krogan trucks? In any case I prefer the mako over the hammerhead because it feels much more like an actual... Military vehicle than the hammerhead ever will. I remember watching a ME3 trailer recently, and seeing a few battles in action. All the vehicles looked built for battle, heavy (save for the fighters) and when I look at the hammerhead... I remember how it felt it really made me miss the mako.
The physics made the mako feel almost as light as the hammerhead is. Rolling down a hill, or boosting with a thruster just felt funny, and the bumpmapping was more a problem when the obvious "paths" made felt hidden. Some of the side stuff was hard to get to.
Which is why I loved luna, favorite spot to explore.
Yes I was talking about the krogan trucks, those things look like they were ready for conflict. I just can't imagine the hammerhead being anywherer there is conflict. It just doesn't... Feel right, its hard to put into words.

I never had any trouble with the Mako. Hardly ever even used to turret zoom, felt too much like an "easy button" But then, I play on a PC, maybe they refined the controls for the port.

I will grudginly admit the hammerhead is fun to drive, but it needs a lot of improvement. Such as a direct fire weapon. The targetting on those missle were dodgy at best.

Also, it feels very videogamey. The Mako felt like it could be a legit vehicle(although it did need to feel a bit heavier).
The Featherhead though is just ridiculous in the gamey sense. Even the levels were built to be very gamey and not very realistic.

I liked squeezing the Mako through the path on Therum that they wanted you to take on foot.
You gotta shimmy the Mako until it gets through, and then if you drive it all the way to the cutscene where the geth surprise attack you, they all just stand there and you can freely kill them all.
It breaks the game for a moment. I love it.

No. You're not.

thats what I was trying to do lol cause I was playing my friends file and he was so weak and had no money to buy armor or anything so he died all the time so we tried glitching mako past rocks and it went badly we had the Mako get 2 front wheels stuck in the ground and then it slowly rolled forward and fell through the ground and I was like wtf so I walked where the mako was and stood there for a few mins and laughed with my friend then all of a sudden the mako dropped from the sky and killed meLPPrince wrote...

I agree, vehicle exporation is part of the definitive Mass Effect experience as established by Mass Effect 1(I say this because vehicle exploration is present in Mass Effect 2 albeit only by downloading the DLC Overlord).MakeMineMako wrote...
Vehicle exploration may not be only reason for Mass Effect, but it's part of the equation.
Overlord was created to adress the lack of vehicle exploration in Mass Effect 2, now Bioware I implore you do not place vehicle exploration as DLC for Mass Effect 3 thereby making it feel as if it is some kind of add-on. Integrate it in Mass Effect 3 as in Mass Effect 1, not necessarily as a part of the critical part but for sidequests, just as in Mass Effect 1.

I personally hated both of them. Much like exploration, I feel like Bioware's overall efforts with vehicle sequences are pretty clear indicators that they should stop worrying about them altogether.
Exactly. I don't think Bioware should follow the rule of "Third time's a charm".
