Mako can fail, but Featherhead IS a fail.
Both are failures but the Hammerhead is at least fun to drive.

Not "fail", but "fall".

If it's not bug, then I really don't know how that happened.

Just once my Mako started spinning, but it was my crappish langing on some static object (beacon of a sort - that pole with orange light on upper part of it). Mako started spinning faster than my Braun Multiquick and I had to reload earlier save. Even though I tried to duplicate that, I wasn't able. Mako just slided from that obstacle and that was all. Ordinary "unpredictable jumps" happened on Feros bridges, yes.

I can not imagine why that would be fun to you. You're an interesting person. If the thing controlled anything like the Warthog, or any vehicle that is fun to drive, I would of loved it. It was just too slow and didn't react very fun like when hitting a jump.LPPrince wrote...

Let's level with each other here. Neither the Mako nor the Hammerhead were fun. At all. In any way. To be honest the Mako had a lot of potential, but they made it clunky, slow, and just entirely incapable of fun.
Disagrizzle. The Mako was fun as hell for me and The Featherhead was fun as far as speed is concerned.

I noticed, thanks. Watched several videos. Still don't get it.
In Operation Flashpoint CWC similar glitch could occur with boats, if left in specific places on shore - as sea level moves up and down, boat can get into some sort of "harmonic oscilaltion" and jumps sky high (my record somewhere around 2 kilometres

The Mako could be air-dropped like the Hammerhead, the Normady didn't need to land to deploy it.
I am a fan of the Mako. I found it more manueverable and survivable then the death-trap that was the Hammerhead. As far as combat went, I used them both the same way. Try to find a place to go hull-down and shoot till all the baddies were dead, reposition as needed.
But the unforgivable part was the Featherhead skipping across liquid water without problem but would sink(!) in liquid rock. That offended me on a deep and primal level.
If it weren't for the designers horrific grasp of physics, the tissue paper armour and the lack of a secondary weapon, I'd like the Featherhead more.
OK... Hypothetical Situation. Shepard needs to land on a planet with High Gravity, and only the Mako is available.
Mako deploys as normal, Shepard does whatever mission was needed. With the SR-2, how in bloody [BEEP] does Shepard get back to the Normandy? The SR-2 can't land on the planet.... Use the Shuttle? OK. Shepard is now back onboard. New Problem: Shuttle is smaller than the Mako.
Even the SR-1 had to LAND on the PLANET to pick up the Mako after Shepard completes the Mission.
Hammer-/Feather- head: I agree with that, but seldome actually landed in either Lava or Acid. In fact, the last play-thru I didn't even come close to slipping into either.

If the Hammerhead is in the game and required to finish missions, then ME3 will be one of those 2 years later 10 dollar sales game. Yes I hated the Hammerhead that much, and still won't buy Overlord DLC:) The Hammerhead was like Bioware decided that their action rpg needed Prince of Persia added to it. I could have handled that if they gave us a couple of platformer missions with Shepard in an extremely low gravity environment or something, but this vehicle was just frustrating and felt like it wasn't even part of the game.

pretty much nothing could kill a Mako I mean it took traveling through a mini mass relay and hitting a wall to hurt it and even then if you replaced the wheels it whould probally driveArcadian Legend wrote...
I love how the Mako was in the Normandy when it crashed yet is still completely intact. Embedded in a rock yeah but still intact.
You know what would be awesome? Mako vs Landmaster vs lolHammerhead.

Because being in a heavily armored vvehicle makes you feel more... heroic?
The Hammerhead is obviously superior in combat. You control the terms of engagement.
Are people really having trouble with the Hammerhead?
Edit: I can see disliking the Hammerhead because it's invincible, but that's a different issue. Or even disliking the Hammerhead because the efficient playstyle with it is kind of boring.

I was legitemately laughing the whole time (and spamming the thruster in hope to avoind death).
Because I didn't save manually, I had to restart waaayyy back from an auto-save. Then it happened to me again, same thing and I hadn't saved manually this time either.
And I was still maniacally laughing whilst I pounced around and eventually into my fiery doom.
Then I had to restart again. what followed was every two minutes quick saves and a LOT of Geth with the Mako's profile on their faces.
And I loved every single minute of that mission!
Seriously, people need to relax and learn how to laugh things off or you'll get yourself an ulcer.
