I am playing BGI with easy tutu.
I started with two main characters, a fighter and a cleric.
I was in the area (ar4100) at the excavation site. Went inside with Nib, had the miners go crazy
and killed them off, so I grabbed the sarcophagus from the tomb and left.
Of couse I was attacked by the Doomsayer, fought him pretty good and ended up killing him,
nice 4000 xp reward, but in the process my cleric was killed.
No problem, headed back to the Temple and paid 800 gold to revive the dead, the preist mumbled his incantation and the flower appeared, so I purchased a critical heal spell for another 100 gp.
Now here is my problem, my cleric was gray in the portrait, turned back to color after rasing the dead, but
the actual character turned white briefly then turned brown. When I move my mouse pointer to
the cleric the feedback circles turn yellow, but my character will not move.
Thinking maybe he was pertrified I used the petrified to flesh spell but still no change.
Weird thing is the same thing happened to Edwin later in the same game.
is this an issue with only spellcasters ?
Anyway around it besides reloading the game.
Hate to do that because I may not ever beat the Doomsayer again.
Thanks

The normal issue is that the dead character is also suffering from some other afflictions & failed morale would be my first guess... I’d try resting a day before you raise him so that the timer can reset.

Sometimes a character takes enough damage to make resurrection impossible (hp reduced to -9 or less by elemental or melee damage) but isn't removed from the party (glitch).
You could try using an editor like Near Infinity or Shadowkeeper/Gatekeeper to raise hp of the dead character to zero, and remove any state flags besides STATE_DEAD.
