I was reading in the Starwars vs ME forum that some guys think playing as femshep is wierd and unnatural.
Why is this?
Personally I like playing as female shepard because of:
a) better actor
I find Mark Meer to be a better Shepard than Jennifer Hale.

more interesting context having a female hero
c) I like seeing blindness to sexism in a game (mostly femshep is treated like maleshep - refreshing)
d) I prefer to play as a slightly more sensitive looking character then some mug alpha male who I would feel intimidated by if I met in real life.
e) I wanna be friends with femshep in real life, cos she seems nicer then stupid angry male shepard
So you don't like sexism, and yet you specifically want a female hero and specifically do not want a male hero, don't like strong males, and even though femshep and maleshep have the exact same lines, you think femshep is nice and maleshep is a "stupid angry male".
Right.

I play as both, don't see what's so weird about it.
Because it helps immersion to play a character of your own gender. It's also why a lot of people try to model the characters after themselves, to further help immersion.
