I'm with you, cgrimm. I really don't 'hate' anyone. I feel like different Shepards I play connect better with other characters than others/trust certain teammates more than others. Paragon takes to Tali and Garrus, distrusts Zaeed and Legion; renegade LOVES Zaeed, finds Tali annoying, etc. but myself as the player, I think they're all great - well written and interesting, and they really make for a well-rounded cast.

I find if I don't like someone, it's probably because my character doesn't mesh well with them. I just make more characters and play again. Some Shep is bound to enjoy their company.

Heh, this thread reminds me how I used to dislike Ashley.
But then I realised that she pretty much sacrificed her life on Virmire so that the rest of the squad/crew could live. And that was so awesome that I loved her ever since.

That's an interesting thing tbh. How can anyone hate/dislike a character who gives his/her life to save others? However prejudiced/annoying/bland/boring he or she is, that "little" detail is still a fact.

So anyway, I like all characters. Some more, some less. Yes, I even like Zaeed. Bloody good character.

Poor guy never had a struggle to overcome.  Well, he did, but he never talked about it.  At least Kaidan told us what it was like to be a biotic; it gave us a reason to keep talking to him outside of romance.  We wanted to hear how the story ended.

Stories without conflict tend to be a bit dull, so a character that hardly ever encounters conflict and absolutely refuses to talk about it will be hard for the audience to enjoy.  However, I liked Jacob for the levelheaded, sweet, and honest guy that he was.  I just wish he weren't so frustratingly introverted at times.

On one level or another I like all the characters.

But the only character I really just has no interest in bringing along on the team was Jack. I would have been willing to accept another alien or even a less powerful human boitic as long as they were more emotionally/psychologically stable.

Hard to say since it's a absolute code that is not absolute at all as Samara demonstrates when when she swears allegiance to Shepard - Perhaps there some other convenient loopholes built into the "code" that allows the other Justicar to just look the other way.

Read your codex. The Oaths of Subsumation were imposed on the justicars specifically to control them. The Third Oath is what Samara swears to Shepard.

And considering that Samara would be within the Code, another justicar would take no issue with her actions.

And another thing what if the guilty were Innocent or the crimes were relatively minor (Such as Shop-Lifting)

not so much as what she believes in its what the code demands...

the cops could simply just let her go, or try to stop her in which the code says she will have to fight her way out.  So in truth, its up the the authorites decision.

It is kind of suprising in a way to see that all of the squadmates have at least few players that hate them. I find it suprising, because there are only two out of the whole bunch that ever screw Shepard over. Zaeed disobeys an order if Shep goes with the paragon choice on his loyalty mission, and Morinth wants to you. But other than that, all of your squadmates are intensely loyal and have Shepard's back, which is hardly a reason to 'hate' them. As far as the story goes, without a couple of them, Shep also fails at his task.
