I got the ahses of Andraste, and was wondering when I should face the dragon at the top of the mountain? I tried to fight it and died miserabley.

When you have lots of potions and good gear, especially on your tank.



On hard I beat her at like level 18 or so.

I took it out on Normal at L13, with Shale, Sten, Wynne, and a PC Mage. Sten went down, but the rest of us made it through. (W was a long range, alternating heals and direct damage attacks, the PC was a max-cone-of-cold range doing the same, and the two bashers flanked the beastie.)

If you have a mage with cone of cold it makes it a lot easier, and after getting Wades Dragon Armor which has a massive fire resistance helps too. I got killed very quickly at first attempt then can back at level 14 with dragon armor and cone of cold and the dragon was dead in seconds.

How did you get Wades Dragon Armor before killing this dragon? Is there some other dragon that drops the scales he can use?

you can't get the dragon scale armor before you kill it but you can get the drake scale.

Yeah Drake scale sorry, and get 2 sets of it.
