Do you make your own Shepard, or use the default?

I always make my own character. The only time I didn't was with the default femHawke, because she looked how I might make a character, if a little pale, but I couldn't connect with the character as well.
That's so funny, because I was tempted to use the default Hawke at first because he looked like a character I'd make. He had the best beard and hairstyle out of all the custom options anyway.
My only issue was he was WAY too tan! In the trailers he was pale! What happened? DX

That being said, I am never satisfied with my custom Shepards either due to lack of customization options (unmodded anyway)

Lol, other way round for me. I really liked how both defaultHawkes looked, and still couldn't get into playing as them, so I don't think I'll bother when I consider the defaultSheps less attractive.

Does your little pic thing at the bottom of your deal (haven't been here long) suggest that Aria is the Vanguard Wrex encountered?warriorN7 wrote...

Default Male Shepard, Custom Female Shepard.
This exactly all the time for me, but to continue for what I was saying is that in MMO's I always play female characters except for one where I have a guy character. Other than that I always use the default settings for the male characters in rpgs except if I don't like the default. Take dragon Age I always use the default with slight changes for the chin etc.. Reason I use the default male in ME 1 and 2 and in 3 is because I like the look of the default and it doesn't need to be changed but I seen the other options for creating shepard and I'm like ewww no way.

I can only bring myself to create a custom female Shepard, because Hale's voice suits a lot of different looks. Whenever I try to make a custom male, he ends up looking scary, and his voice doesn't suit him. So do you guys create a custom Shepard, or use the default?
Usually I try to create custom characters on any game that gives the choice.
Including DAO and DA2.
But I found that the ME CC just isn't as good as the Dragon Age CC, so I've stayed with Sheploo in every playthrough (I'm not really complaining cause he's not exactly ugly).
