Lol and this is why blondes need to stop with “We’re so discriminated against!”

When Bioware gave us a choice to vote for a femshep, we whine.
When Bioware take our feedback with a certain degree of seriousness, we whine.
Do you want Bioware to become Activision and release a copy of the same game annually?
On to the whole femshep's hair ordeal. Was the whole "OMG BLONDE SHEP = SEXIST" thing pretty messed up? Yes. But people, where's the harm in actually letting us pick the hair color? As far as I'm concerned, the blonde hair option was still available, and yet the red-haired option was chosen to be the default femshep. Guess what? People preferred the red-haired Shepard over the blonde-haired Shepard, and by a wide margin. I voted for the red hair simply because Shepard looks better in red hair. Why is that so hard to accept? Why do you believe that the 19,995 people who voted for red hair (compared to 5541 who voted for blonde hair) all believe that blonde women in media = sexist?
And some of you generalize feminists as women trying to be men or women who believe that women >>>>> men. Sadly, neither of these are true. In general, feminists believe that females and males deserve equal rights and treatment. There are, however, different focuses for different types of feminists. The point I'm trying to bring out is, those who believe that "OMG BLONDE SHEP = SEXIST" are few among many. Please stop slapping the label "feminist" around and blaming us for everything that has happened.
I love my femshep who is in my "canon" playthrough. I do have a maleshep character as well. Each of our choices create different experiences and there are no right or wrong so to speak. Please, everyone, regardless of your "alliance" toward maleshep or femshep or neither, just stop arguing over who's better. I'm sure each of you believe that your shep is >>> whoever else's and there is no point in arguing.
And before anyone starts pointing fingers, remember, you're actually pointing three fingers at yourself.

I'm pretty sure blonde and brunette are the most common, and it should have been a vote ONLY between light vs. dark hair.
Some people don't like redheads at all, which includes me, honestly.
Red hair is rare already, and I'm sure over 120 years from now, redheads would be as rare as albino people.
Its harder to be prejudice against a blonde or brunette femshep since those are the most common hair colors.
Sometimes Bioware goes too far to please people.

As for the big deal on the hair color, people are just excited because it's the first time femShep is actually featured in marketing and on the game tin and such. In almost every single one of the kind of games where you can choose the player characters gender you only see the male character in the marketing.

People need to watch some Mad Men. It really improves life. I wasn't a red head lover, but I sure as heck learned my lesson.

Originally only humans could only mate with humans or asari and then people complained so now we can have a hanar-volus-elcor-human orgy.
Anything is possible these days.

It was not a BSN-poll, it was on fakebook, so everyone of us without a FBAccount could not vote, while several Never-ME-Players where allowed to vote.

Prefer red though. Just don't get the idea that it is sexist to make a female character blonde, regardless of how society may present them in icons like idk Paris Hilton. Seems unnecessarily prejudicial, but it is always something.

The fact that they got offended so baddly in the first place over a character that was CUSTOMISABLE in the first place says a lot about a lot of women and their blantantly obvious insecurities about themselves.

Now that I think about it there
are literally no blonde female characters to be seen in the games. So
far we have Ashley, Miranda, Jack, Kasumi, Kelly, Diana... all have dark
hair. Do gamers really hate blondes that much? I mean how about some
variety?
Apparently there IS actually an ingame reason for this. Unless you have genetic modifications or... just dye it, natural blonde hair is apparently extinct. Which makes sense if you think about genetic diversity and that.
