Jennifer Hale said that she liked the ginger, so I think it worked out well, anyway. She has done such a good job as FemShep, so it makes sense.

The whole idea of putting what FemShep looked like to a popular vote was a disaster anyway, IMO. The majority of gamers are dudes.

I really don't know why people are complaining. At least they finally have a FemShep they are advertising (though still not much....). If you don't like how she looks, then make your own FemShep. It's really that simple.

I mean, I hate regular male Shepard. He looks too much like a generic marine-type character with his face and the shaved haircut. I had to make my male Shep look completely different from that. But I don't have a problem with regular male Shepard existing. They needed something for marketing reasons.

She had blonde hair during the voting on the face stage, and due to other demands, a poll then opened for the hair color to be chosen to go along with the newly chosen face.

The fact that they had more direct fan input is cool enough. Regardless of why they did the 2nd poll, the Redhead getting almost double the amount of votes as the blonde is rather telling. Gingershep is wanted.

That whole episode was one of the biggest disgraces ever for BSN, and that is really saying something. Shows that Bioware should never listen to the most vocal segments of their fanbase. First they derailed Garrus and Tali to please the small number of pathetic romance fans on these forums, and then this. I'm starting to think the less Bioware listens to the people here, the better.

Agreed. Every time I play ME2 I wish we could go back and ignore people who didn't like the mako and the elevators.

agreed. also they should have only human romances, tbh Miranda romance was totally unnecessary and Liara too OMG shes lyke blue alien and **** .. BW, stop fanserving us!

Here we go again with the foolishness. The red haired shepard is fine, after all default female shep in previous games was also red haired... Ppl are just sore losers...

Yup, people got so mad that femshep was blonde because apparently having blonde hair means you're a dumb, promuicuis, barbie girl.

Certain politically connected people fear and envy blondes.

they turned her into a redhead?

Is there any truth to this?

Yes. People whined, so they made her a redhead. No biggie. She'll be blond in my game. :wizard:

Or more likely, the poll got stuffed by activists.

Still, gingershep is not bad looking.  It remains unclear whether Bioware'd be able to render a blonde babe with the current engine.

Still, gingershep is not bad looking and I don't know how well they'd be able to render a blonde babe with the current engine.

I think a lot of it was actually because a lot of people were kind of tired of the whole contest after the first part.

The first vote was for the Hairstyle of Femshep with was blonde and long as an example they gave. Then the second vote was for what hair color they wanted the style to be, which people voted for Red.

Yes, a combination of sorts.  Only the fanatical anti blondes would turn out in large numbers

Actually, the first vote was what look they wanted for FemShep in general. They had the hair color specified after the whole discussion. I certainly don't think they planned a second vote until after that anyway.

I think they said they optimized the engine and now they can have better hair movement.

maybe because that style of the slicked back greasy looking blonde hair was just plain ugly... because it was.. So I voted red.... red nice color. The is not going to end if Shepard was Blonde nor while it if she was not...

Matter of fact... why the hell are we even going over this again...

Yes. Crazy FEMSHEP STRONG!!1 feminist types complanied that blond hair was some sort of chauvinistic pro-aryan racism or something.

It was the perfect example of how insane this community is.

Maybe Bioware actually bought into that crap, maybe they pitied them because redheads have no souls, I don't know.

I tweeted Silverman to say some people voted for the hairstyle, not the color, as was evident from the comments on the forum. It wasn't a complaint, just a request to let us vote on different colors for the hairstyle that won the first round.

I didn't vote on the winning hairstyle, though. I picked Natalie Portman Shepard in the first round and voted redhead Shepard in the second.

I also had never seen so many balatant insults tossed out about how blondes are wh*res, stupid, or ditzy. And Bioware caved and offered a second poll because of it. That's the only thing that pissed me off about the whole affair. They should have given the whiny bastards the middle finger and told them to deal with it.

Because the mouth breathers have  discovered  2 things... 1. that girls play games and 2. The miss guide ideal that they can impress said ladies if they cry sexism at every little thing.

honestly  I have became so jadded  and callous to the whole thing.  The even trying to have a the debate  and discussion  cause a migraine .

Which is truely sad because there is a discussion to be had as video react a broader market.

Probably still would be blonde if they didn't split blonde choice up in dark and light blonde.
