I also like Garrus, Liara, and Kasumi.

Now that I think about it, I like pretty much every character, for one reason or another, except for 1 person.

Kasumi -entertaining, effective in combat, japanese, hot
Wrex - badass, dinosaur whop like sarcasm and eating people
Thane - wel more badas sin cut-scenes than in actual ghameplay but a very interesting guy. And looks cool.
Legion - Garrus/tali hybrid with skills. interesting concept. Wery insightful dialogues.
Mordin - His sherlock mode. His talk later dialogues, and his singing.
Harbinger - Oh come on, how can you not love: ASSUMING CONTROL. Hell everyxthing he says became a meem. Only HK-47 can say the same. And Flemeth

I like all of them except Zaeed. Top 5 would be Tali, Garrus, Liara, Mordin, Legion in that order.

Miranda: a wonderful character. Beautiful, strong, determined, thorny.
Legion: I like AI's and he's a very well characterised AI.
Mordin: Extremely funny. Tough & uncompromising too.
Kasumi: Cute, funny and dangerous.
Grunt/Wrex. Krogans just make me smile.

Ashley - Did not like her unlike my last playthrpugh of ME1, she seems like she'd make a better game in place of Kaidan in ME3

1 - Mordin Solus. There is no greater character in Mass Effect Trilogy, from a depth, and personality perspective; Inner-Conflicts regarding the nature of the Genophage, being vital yet simultaneously unethical for some of the consequences -- Philosophy, religion, science, amazingly genuine personality, etc... What more to ask?

2 - Urdnot Wrex. No other character both made me laugh on numerous occasions, and made me felt compassionate about it's own personal struggle regarding his species. Wrex is a character with many flaws, yet it only contributes to a realistic personality, and despite being sad that he wasn't part of the main-squad in Mass Effect 2, I really liked how his character developed into a leader -- I imagine the time spent with Shepard, learning about the sacrifices he had done to save the Galaxy inspired him?

3 - Miranda Lawson. Truthfuly, I liked the ruthless, calculated, and -only- on-topic personality traits from prior to Normandy, but then until middle-game, I found it quite boring. Yet, her personality blossoms with the loyalty mission and beyond, and I began to really like her -- She isn't the flawless, marry-sueish character that was presented so far, but she was like any other Human, with flaws and insecurities. Plus, the E-Mail from her sister was one of few matters that actually projected an emotional touch in Mass Effect 2. ( For me, personally. )

These three earn gold, silver, and bronze on my preference-list.

I love them all but my favorites are these without a doubt

1. Garrus ****ing Vakarian - He is the most badass turian in the galaxy, an amazing leader, your protege, and the one guy you can always count on to have your back above all others. Brokarian is the best

2. Wrex - the coolest Krogan in the galaxy. His drive to help his people is inspiring and he has a depth that other krogan lack. He was awesome as a bounty hunter and even cooler as the clan leader. Plus he's a biotic badass. What more could you ask for from a Krogan Battlemater?

3. Legion - He's the first look into the geth we get and gives us insight into their culture. Plus he's funny and was always entertaining to talk to. His shepard fan boyism is awesome and he has the best dances moves of all the squadmates. Plus there was a hole...

4. Mordin - The very model of a scientist Salarian could not be anymore awesome if he tried. His work on the genophage modification and his moral turmoil towards it gave him the initial hook that drew me to his character and it was his commical responses when he was busy that made me love him even more than I did. Plus his singing is amazing and his sex ed advice was wonderful.

5. Prothy the Prothean - I know already, even after the little we know of him that he will be my fifth favorite character. He's awesome, renegade style, and survived his own extinction cycle. That's good enough for me.

6. Tali and Liara - they will always be tied for me as these two i have never been able to decide between them as my LI.  Tali has always been part of my go to team "Team Dextro" and as the one who has been with me every step of my journey it seemed only natural that we got together. Plus I really like her character development and how she got more confident and grew into herself in ME2. Liara was my LI from ME1 and I loved her nerdy and shy personality then and I loved how she risked everything to bring Shepard back. Liara becoming the Shadow Broker made her an even more compelling character. that is why they are tied.
